actually, that's exactly what R* said when this whole thing started. There are numerous posts on the support site from a month ago saying that R* can not remove the cash and if you're at some point put in the cheaters pool to contact them. There's even news articles stating that. That's what needs to be focused on. Not once did they say, if you receive money open a ticket or email us here or post a screen shot or anything, they simply stated the above.

 

They really make it seem that they have no idea what they're doing.. or ever have. "Let's just make this sh*t up as we go.." lol. Good business plan.

I do wonder, since I have 2 characters and it was one of them that receieved job shared money if my other char will wind up in a Cheaters Pool?

 

I emailed C* and informed them of the situation and I did not wind up in the Cheaters pool yet. I think tomorrow MIGHT be a different story since Patch 1.08 is going live sometimes tomorrow.

 

Does anybody know if you have 2 chars and if you're in the Cheaters Pool do both chars wind up there?

 

If it works anything like badsport does, then yes, both of your characters go to the cheaters pool. It's linked to your GT/ PSNID

Rockstar also said they couldnt do anything about the gifting of money, and we can conclude now that that was a lie.. But anyways My point/opinion is this. Some people steal in life because its harder for them to earn a living wage, If there wages were higher, they probably wouldnt steal/cheat. (though the action of course is wrong). Likewise if you make the payouts for missions so low that you net less and less after you do a mission, Some people would resort to cheating, though they wouldnt have in the beginning if they felt the pay offs was reasonable.

 

Personally I never felt the pay off was reasonable, especially after playing story mode and seeing the big price difference in items. Yes it could/should cost more, but personally it seemed like it was more than it should be, but thats just me, the cheaters/glitchers are guilty of course, but I also think Rockstar was trolling with the high prices.

Are you an idiot? Explain to me how nerfing payouts in anyway helped to balance the game because of glitching? How does that math work? It in no way hurt the people glitching and only made it a hell of allot harder for legit players to earn.

I don't think rockstar has to say it, it's common sense mixed with your terms of service you agreed to.

They've changed their tune now because it's happening a lot more frequently. But they set an early precedent and I assume that's why many like myself didn't report earlier.

Wtf is going on today. Today my friend got gifted billions and a couple mins later he was put in the cheater pool. I've been destroying cars like crazy since 1.07 and didn't think much of it and today I blew up about three and was thrown into bad sports. What sucks is the timer says 0 0 0 0. I know it's not the cheater pool because when I try to join my friends lobby it says I can't because I am not a cheater..

kinda depends dude. Reasonable logic says "Why report if they cant do anything about it" .... My friend reported someone doing a wall glitch, sent them the necessary info (a video), and they responded with the same generic later asking for the info he already sent. So i myself concluded, "We have to fend for ourselves" perhaps that was wrong?

So I haven't tried to play all day today, just used my ps3 for netflix. But when I tried to get online in game, it wouldn't sign me in to play. It'd sign me out of psn. And now I'm getting this error code 80023017, which I've googled and seems like it's a code about connection issues and possibly psn being down for updates? but I tested my connections and all is fine. So now I dunno what to do.

 

EDIT: working now. Has to do a system update. Originally thought it had to do with all this crap going on.

I'm starting to think that the people who landed in the cheaters pool today and were gifted money were trolled by the hacker who gave them the money in the first place.

 

[edit] meaning that the hackers who got caught turned in all of the PSN or XBL accounts that they gave money to.

 

The support guy is claiming that they have "internal" mechanisms to determine who has gifted money but even myself was gifted 100M+ TWICE and I'm still able to play. Granted that may not be the case after tomorrow and Patch 1.08 is live.

 

And no, snitches, Sterling Malory Archer is not my PSN nor XBL ID, it's my online persona for this forum. Woo hoo!

Well considering I owned pretty much every supercar legit before I got billions, your opinion is irrelevent. Also I asked a hacker for my billions, I was gifted 109 million I never asked for, but the billions I asked for. You know what, I emailed cockstar and pleaded my innocence and reported today, after fillling out my 2nd characters garage with hacked money. If they ban me then f*ck then f*ck those pricks. But if they don't then I've got one over them.

 

I won't report random players.. Why should I report other players? f*ck emailing those incompetent assholes to report other gamers. I play videogames to have fun, not be a snitch. The fun is being taken out of this game with every patch.
