Even today while me and a friend were playing in a online session, my friend received two payments from a person, one of 1,000,000,000 and another of 500,000,000. Luckily I didn't get any.

If you look at the rockstar support page I think there's enough evidence of this to be considered more than rumor or trolling. Perhaps you went under the radar or perhaps they just haven't gotten to your account yet.

I'm experiencing the same. While I've not gotten an email from Rockstar about any of this, I've also not been online at all today. I'm not sure when, or if, action will be taken on my account, but I don't think its BS. There's just too much substantial proof that this is all going down.

 

 

EDIT: also, there should be a "not yet" option on the poll.

 

I know if they were going to send anyone to the cheater pool, I'm certainly going.

Well actually, some people in the past have reported getting large sums of cash and "R" said there was nothing they could do about it.

 

They've changed their tune now because it's happening a lot more frequently. But they set an early precedent and I assume that's why many like myself didn't report earlier.

actually, that's exactly what R* said when this whole thing started. There are numerous posts on the support site from a month ago saying that R* can not remove the cash and if you're at some point put in the cheaters pool to contact them. There's even news articles stating that. That's what needs to be focused on. Not once did they say, if you receive money open a ticket or email us here or post a screen shot or anything, they simply stated the above.

 

They really make it seem that they have no idea what they're doing.. or ever have. "Let's just make this sh*t up as we go.." lol. Good business plan.

I was gifted a billion sometime between last night and this morning. I have no idea who gave me the cash, so how am I supposed to report them. Not that I ever would. I'm fine with it, I'm f*cking sick of grinding for cash, I can honestly say today has been the most fun I've had playing. I don't care if I have a bounty on me, I don't care if I get killed 20 times in a row. I can just play and not worry about cash.

 

I have had zero problem with the glitchers that made billions and bought everything in the game. f*ck R* for doing a sh*t job of testing. I do have a problem with all these whiny little bitches complaining about it. It's a f*cking video game, not life and death. How pathetic do you have to be that your non-existent self esteem is crushed because someone has something you don't IN A VIDEO GAME. How does some tard driving around in a chromed Adder hurt you? How does someone tooling around in a tank hurt you (there are plenty of counters to the tank for a SKILLED player).

 

Before today I had earned around 6 million playing legit. I had every weapon fully modded. I had the cars I wanted fully modded with the mods I had unlocked. The billion has given me ZERO advantage over any other player. I had a legit $700,000 in my account before the billion was gifted, so I could afford plenty of ammo. I had already bought the tank, and just about everything else (the buzzard) can be found in the game. Again being a billionaire gives me ZERO advantage. I still earned my skills. How does the fact that I have this money hurt you? I didn't steal it, I didn't glitch it. It was gifted to me... what can I do about that. Now I should be punished after playing legit?

We've been over this, money's a resource, glitching money equals glitching a resource. It gives the players who glitched an advantage both now and potentially in the future depending on whatever dlc is in the works. The shame is it seems you didn't have to cheat given your claims of success prior to getting your large sum of cash, but when you didn't report that cash you violated the terms of service and became a cheater and should be classified as such. Kudos to rockstar for drawing a clear line in the sand over this.

Again as of today how does this give you an advantage? If we had to pay large sums to replace cars, maybe. As it is it cost basically nothing to replace a car with insurance, and that's if you destroy it yourself. Your "it's a resource" statement means absolutely nothing. Explain with examples how having billions give one player an advantage over another. Take two players of equal level, give one $500,000 and the other $1,000,000,000. What's the difference?

 

R* has done everything possible to crush this precious resource of yours. They have nerfed payouts with every patch, all to sell more cash cards. Gamers don't forget or forgive. f*ck us over and we will not buy games from you again.

Cash is still a resource, one that glitchers have given themselves more of without earning it via the designs implemented for in game by rockstar. Anything obtained outside intended design and features should be removed. And with the latest patch missions are paying more now, as are races, it's not hard to make 100-150k an hour without cheating.

As for not buying rockstars game again, nobody cares. I'll bet anyone here gta vi outsells gta v and rockstar makes a larger profit off of it too.

Again, you obtuse ass, how does having 10 fully modded Adders in every color of the rainbow GIVE ANYONE AN ADVANTAGE? That is really all someone with billions can do with that money over a player without it. To a lvl 5 player just starting out... they don't give a single solitary sh*t if the lvl 120 spawn killing them earned every penny legit or glitched billions. By simply playing the game and leveling up you earn more than enough cash. That some player has 10 chromed Adders gives them ZERO advantage and in no way hurts anyone else's game. Again since you seem to be a little slow: By playing and leveling up you earn all they money you really need. So how does having a billion unbalance the game. The only people hurt are the assholes at R* who thought money would be rolling in from cash card sales. and they can go f*ck themselves.

Your beef isn't with me buddy your beef is with capitalism. I agree it's a greedy world and having worked for take two in the past I can assure you they're as greedy as anyone else. I'd love for developers to give us free content and updates just based off of the initial 60 bucks we pay but those days are gone. Considering how some companies use a pay wall for,their games or content rockstar isn't even a major offender (see zynga and death of thq). At least we can still earn the money needed to buy things in this game, do missions when we want without waiting for our character stamina to recharge, and if we want can purchase additional cash to get some object or car a little faster.

 

And no ten chromed adders give nobody an advantage, but the ability to buy endless ammo, purchase a tank before they otherwise would have, etc do have an actual impact on people, more so the lower level folks, but an impact and advantage none the less. Considering the influx of new players coming over the holidays it makes sense rockstar would do this now, in the hopes the new players will buy cash cards to keep up with existing players rather than resort to cheating like many in here have already done.

 

I have no problem with you or capitalism. Hell I bought a cash card when I hit level 70 to buy the tank (which I've used a grand total of twice). If they put out good DLC (for online) I'll buy that too. This game has been an amazing return on investment. As of right now I have played a little over 19 days which works out to 12 cents a hour. Great return on investment.

 

Maybe a player playing legit can't afford every item of clothing, maybe they can't afford to have a garage full of super cars, etc. But I played legit and I never truly hurt for money. I had a high end apartment. I had my Entity for racing. I always had the money to afford weapons as I unlocked them, and a full complement of ammo. The only thing having a billion gifted to me has changed is worrying and grinding for that cash. Playing today has been the most fun I have had, not caring if I died, not caring if someone put a bounty on my head. Not doing all that boring grinding. Just playing with other players and have the most fun yet.

I emailed C* and informed them of the situation and I did not wind up in the Cheaters pool yet. I think tomorrow MIGHT be a different story since Patch 1.08 is going live sometimes tomorrow.

 

Does anybody know if you have 2 chars and if you're in the Cheaters Pool do both chars wind up there?
