Not many people have the PS4/xbone right now, so if we're going to see gta v on PS4/XBone, it will be next year. But, right now, R* should focus on making a PC version first, before making a PS4/XBone version. As ChrisFley has pointed out, there will (most likely) not be a improvement on the graphics, it will probably be the same as the PS3/360 versions. They've not announced the PC version yet so it's still too soon to know. But my guess is no. Sure, it'd be fun to play GTA V with better graphics on PS4 (or XBOX One if that's what you have) but I don't see it hapening. Just like GTA San Andreas on the Playstation 3. San Andreas on the PS3 isn't a port. It's the PS2 version being emulated via software on the PS3, just like every other PS2 game on PSN. This is the only really likely theory I think. They'll just spruce it up and give it a lick of next-gen paint, then toss it to the starving beasts. Sure, they'd make some more money by releasing on PC and Next-gen, but that just stops them from developing anything new. That incurs costs that even a billion in sales won't be able to prop up forever. Plus, and this is the key, is there a dev in their right mind that wants to work on the same thing for, what, 6 years, even after it's been released? I really, really hope not. Which leaves me to wonder, Rockstar put all this effort into GTA Online for PS3 and 360 at the end of their life cycle. How long will they support it for? There are still MMOs from the early 2000s on PC that still have full support from their devs. But Rockstar doesn't seem to be the committing type. Edit: And neither are console players.
