On 5/29/2022 at 4:04 PM, TheSantader25 said: Jimmy passed the bar and deserved to be a lawyer. If Chuck hadn't f*cked him over by degrading his accomplishments things could be different. Anyone who dismisses Chuck as a negative and destructive force in Jimmy's life drastically misreads the show, in my opinion. Yes, Chuck was a troubled figure, a total douchebag at times, a jealous, paranoid man, no better than Jimmy, but remind yourself who took Jimmy off the streets, who motivated him to become a lawyer, who motivated him to do good as a lawyer and a human being, who maintained Jimmy's relative restraint and did not let him slip completely into the marginal lifestyle of his past. Chuck, without knowing and without wanting it himself, served as the sole force for good in Jimmy's life. Look at how the show itself has transformed tonally after Chuck's demise. Within a season, it went from relatively innocent brother feuds and law schemes to a cartel nightmare where no one is safe. Chuck was the anchor who kept the demons within Jimmy and everyone around him in control, and after he passed, the demons broke out. You all know what happens next. TheSantader25
Chuck never encouraged Jimmy to be a lawyer. He was very surprised abd petty that Jimmy studied law in an online course in that flashback and succeeded. He just wanted him to work in HHM as a nobody to feed his inferiority complex. DODI3OG
So, "S6 Ep. 8: Point and Shoot" closes the "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio." plotline. I was really thrilled when this scene played out on the 1st act of the episode. Although, I don't think Jimmy bought Mike when the latter said Lalo has been taken care of, knowing the first attempt didn't succeed.
Jabalous
What an episode! no more Lalo from now on, and as anticipated, he was indeed killed and buried at the underground lab. The innocent Hamlin being buried next to his killer was emotional and Mike looked affected by it. your best pal
Donald Lov
I have to say, yet again, just like with Nacho, I'm quite underwhelmed by the conclusion of Lalo's story.( cartel's story overall, essentially) . All this epic setup with Lalo cleaning up an estate full of assassins, tracing people down all the way to Germany, crawling sewers and for what? What are we supposed to take away from Lalo's journey? For the time being, I have no answers to any of those questions. DexMacLeod

I think his plan to kills Gus was a bit cheesy, almost felt rushed. He takes his time in the underground lab to shoot a footage and record Gus's last words. That indeed felt a bit out of place for Lalo, but then it's a TV show and not a real setup in which Lalo would have killed Gus and run away from the scene quickly once a footage of the underground lab was taken to use it as an evidence. But again, maybe there would have been a better way to write it to feel more real, but I cannot think of one currently.

TheSantader25
I'm honestly relieved the cartel story is wrapped up sooner tbh. This show's main strength has always been Saul's side of the story imo and now they can fully focus on that in the last episodes. The cartel stuff has been fun though but I felt like they overdid it after Chuck's death in Season 4 and 5. It's time to see what happens to Kim and Saul. Overall I'm happy with the direction they took.

Overall I'm happy with the direction they took. We're probably only one episode away from entering the BB timeline. The episode after the next one deviates from the rest of the season in terms of its name; it's just one word instead of the usual "Something and something". So it seems we're left with one episode in the Jimmy timeline, three in the BB/Saul timeline and the last one as a conclusion, a full-on Gene Takovic episode. We're up to a great ending, they sure as hell took their time finishing off Saul and Kim. Edited July 17 by Notorious_Jack TheSantader25

your best pal
vacation days, did 2 episodes back2back. wonderful! lalo's last dance was really impressive. he was smart, but we all knew gus was smarter than him in the end. dammit kim! she just quit, packed her things and left jimmy? didn't see that coming even though it makes perfect sense. that transition: the public masturbation case he's talking about, haha, I had to think of badger right away. I guess very soon it's time for walter and jesse to make their BCS cameo.
TheSantader25
Can't wait to see what the intros for the last 3 episodes look like. Everything has been similar throughout the 10 episode seasons. Edited July 25 by TheSantader25
Donald Lov
Enjoyed the heck out of ep.10. Classic Better Call Saul. Felt like going back a few seasons before all this cartel dread. One thing to note: with that episode out of the way, pretty much every single loose end has been tied. Everything is pretty much wrapped, meaning that the events of last 3 episodes are a complete mystery to the audience. We can only guess what happens next. GhettoJesus
I am catching up with the show now and I have just finished watching Episode 9 of the 6th season. Safe to say I almost cried when Spoiler Kim and Saul parted ways. I mean the problem with watching prequels after you have seen the sequel is that you know that if a character doesn't appear in a sequel then they usually die or part from the cast in less amicable ways, so I was kinda anticipating something like this but it still took me by surprise. Good writing.
