how rare are hackers?

I don't think the hackers themselves are as common as you think.

 

I mean let's say you join a 16 player game 5 times in a row and every time theres a hacker in it. Thats 5/80 people who were hackers. In the long run they're not as common as you think its just the amount of times you will end up in a different session is increasing the chances of you running into one.

Well when you say it like that yeah, there aren't too many hackers, its way unproportionate to the total playerbase but say one hacker gives out billions to 15 people and does that like 20 times in different servers before he signs off, that is 300 people who got modded money, now lets say he does it again the next day, that is 600 people, and so on...

 

Haha yeah I guess I only worked out the amount of hackers proportionate to other players and not how much a hack can do in the game. When you put it like that then it's easy to see just how much one person can do with a text editor and a server program.

Anyone here remember of GTA 4 MP? They were around 50% almost. It was so stupid that even my mind get bugged because of how stupid it was.

Last night I met a girl who was trying to get rid of her billions, she gave me a fully modded dominator. I was grateful. Then about an hour later I ran into a guy giving out billion dollar bounties... I was like, "hey! I'll take one of those!" but he gave me 50 million cash instead. No complaints here. (Xbox btw)

They exist; come across two in the space of a day (but not seen any since, go figure). First, I was in a Cargobob flying over a player who was robbing a store - next thing I know I get a prompt saying I had been gifted 5k shy of $1million. He left before I could say thanks.

 

The second one, was a dick. Kept putting bounties on people, then would kill them himself, thus claiming back said money. And I'm talking bounties like 1000 million, really crazy stuff. I threw him a text asking if he'd place one on me (can't blame me for trying), but i got ignored. He placed a hit on someone, but the lucky bastard quit the session before the hacker could claim it.

I play 8-10 hours a day everyday since release never seen a bounty over 9k

 

I am on Xbox though and seems like you got a better chance of seeing a snowman or an alien here lol

It doesn't even take long rearlly, keep session hopping until full lobby, stand in front of store, rob it, kill cashier, take money for yourself, share cash, then find new session

 

takes maybe 3 minutes if you are determined to speed run it. You could probably go through like 1000 people in an hour at that rate lol, depending if it doesn't keep putting you back in the same sessions

You can see a guy that is level 1000, but I would call him a simple modder unless I knew him / her better and what computer skills he / she possess. He / she would not be a hacker in my eyes.

not as rare as legit players.

the only reason stats will tell you otherwise is because you have hundreds of thousands of people who hardly play, and are low levels. they are not gamers, but they are counted as a legit player. there is also still a lot of people who have never even heard of glitching rp or money. most of who, fall into the first category i mentioned.

among normal players who frequent in GTAO sessions, i would say it is more rare to find someone claiming to be 100% legit.

Every freeroam lobby there's up to possibly 16 players. These hackers likely give the whole lobby money.

But there are lots of MODDERS who are simply moddiing an easy accessible game file called tuneables.json which holds information such as health, bad sport time, how hard it is to get bad sport, money multiplier and more things such as rp multiplier.

Yeah that's what they do, join a lobby (or mod a lobby and wait, I don't know...), give money away then rinse and repeat.

 

The hacker who drown me in millions said he was about to give us more before moving to the next session. I left before he did it again because 600mil is enough for me haha. Although secretly, I wish I stayed for another 600 mil xD

 

Not like I would really need it. I calculated that with my current usual expenses of 2 millions a month that I have enough money for the next 25 coming years lol

What would you call someone who is both? I myself am a modder (as of recently) and I guess a hacker for a couple of years now? One thing I can say that does irritate me is when people get so mad and say "Imma hack your account" and they're the people who you KNOW don't know how and they google "How to hack accounts" come across a hacking forum or a report and try to attempt to do it. It makes me very irritiated because they say it then they fail. I've heard of hackers on xbox and PSN, but I've never seen ANY. I've heard of modders on Xbox and PSN, and I've seen alot. (No, using lagswitch doesn't count as hacking either)

But that was GTA4? This is GTA5 with a lot more inferior tech involved and I'm pretty sure it won't be a repeat. GTA4 wasn't really put together like GTA5 was and was more focused on it's story line rather than the online MP.

I speed run it. Takes me about 2 minutes. I enter the server and say "Hey, who want's a early christmas present", rob the store, give everyone 5% and then keep going up until I can't give anymore out, then leave. I say what I say because some people usually know what I mean by that and leave if they wan't to remain legit.

There are more hackers on ps3 than xbox because ps3 accounts are free. Iv seen about ten hackers upto now there was one on lastnight.

If you goto se7ensins, xbox has the majority of modded sessions there so I wouldn't be so sure psn has more. But there are a lot

There's always been more hackers on ps3 on every game.

 

COD games were rife with hackers on the ps3. Less so XBOX.

I just got 55 million from some guy literally just right now, I'm leaving cause he just put a negative bounty on someone. Nevermind he just gave me 59 mil again haha and I just copped a 1 billion dollar bounty, so glad I logged on
