How do I unlock it? I read that it's unlocked in the story. So I have to play the story to unlock something for online? If that's true how far into the story is it? I didn't really want to play the story D:

It only in single player, it was only ever ment to be, there are lots of things that are sp only and even if it wasn't in sp it still wouldn't be in mp. Just sayin

While I'm here... where can I get one of those cool planes with the missiles and stuff? Someone picked me up in one during a mission online and I was wondering where I could get one of those to fly? Are they available somewhere or was that only because of the mission? I checked at the airport and at that sandy place with the air strip. But I couldnt find one :c

You need to steal them from Ft Zancudo.

Drive through the tunnel and go up to the turn off to the base, do a u-turn and go as fast as you can to the right side of the tunnel and go up the jump and clear the fence.

 

When inside, drive alongside the runway until you see jets near the barrier.

Jump in, do a u-turn and take off across the runway.

 

Stay low.

screw that.. fly a helicopter right up to the jets in the middle of the base...stay low and do not hit the ground. i usually enter from the marsh area because it is a direct path right to the jets.

park the heli to the left of the jet pad, there may or may not be one person... easy shot to the head and run to the jet. DO NOT TAKE OFF STRAIGHT AHEAD

exit the jets LZ and drive it on the ground towards the beach to the left, take off towards the bridge also to the left, avoiding the entire rocket section on the right of the base.

if you stay low, your wanted level goes into "looking mode" and you will not be shot at.

once you reach the outside of the base hug the bridge and beach and then you can fly up.

basically, take off on the run way towards the city and stay low.

9/10 times you will be unharmed, not shot at, and get away.

nah son take a heli fly it into the hangar that has a jet in it (very end) take off while looking back (enemy jets dont spawn) fly up until you have the feeling no jets will spawn any longer and voila you're golden.. 9/10 times this'll work. the only time it won't is when there are tanks

When you get out of the base and are away from it (over the hills etc..) do not accelerate, the faster you go, the quicker the police spawn.

 

 

Don't use the hanger method, it's the closest to the tanks if they spawn.

lol I'm pretty confused... I dont think I've ever been there. so I'm just going to fly a chopper there and hope I don't die. I'm mostly in the city when I play online.

Once you touch ground in heli, you're wanted anyway and the tanks are there reasonable quick so it comes down to the randomness of the spawn. Dying over and over means you are doing one hell of a sh*t job.

 

If you die with your heli, you'll have to resort to driving anyway so you're better off knowing all the methods.

 

If you do get killed - go along the dirt road to the main entrance, up the green part of the hill and towards the fence near the guard station is a little hump - jump it. Don't go to the tunnel, takes too long.

 

And if the army follows you - just drive up and down the runway leading them on a wild goose chase, away from the jets.

call a taxi if you die, so you are not using your own POV's for the on ground method.

you have to stay low and move fast. once you cross that fence in a chopper you have about 10 seconds to land, 10 second to get out, shoot the lone ranger in front of the jet and steal it. the rest if just how well you can read the map. direction of take off, and your flying skills.

Ahhhhh, I stole one of the jet's and got about 20 feet outside of the fence before they blew me up. Progress!

Practice moving your camera around too so you know where the jets are.

DARN! LOL, I keep failing but this is quite humerous.

 

I figured out a way to hop the fence with my car so I can keep getting back in there, but I can't get away! I made it out pretty far the last time but then just as I was saying to myself "woohooooo home freeeeee!!!!' I explode. I coulda sworn I dodged the missile with some nifty swerving but then I exploded anyway 10sec later o_O

 

This is tough.

I did the opposite and for some reason no one shot at me! I just kept going up and up and up ready to do a loop if a missile was coming at me and none ever did! They didn't shoot at me at all. Is that even possible? I kept thinking omg omg omg I'm going to be shot any second and nothing ever came That was so much fun to fly! I have a feeling that won't be so easy next time but that was fun. I lost it though trying to land at the sandy airfield. I went kaboom. c:

I just did it again! There was lots of people but no one shot at me besides some tanks on the ground. Flying as we speak =) This is awesome! (ahhh almost crashed while typing lol)
