So yeah I was playing and suddenly I'm loaded with 90mil and I have to say that the game hasn't been this fun in ages. Maybe that awesome stint with the drag racing cars earlier but not having the limitation of money is great.

 

I bought everything I could. Went on a rampage with my new tank, only went after cops of course, then went for a cruise with my friends and after all that was done I went and finally got the garage that I wanted.

 

The game has gotten a new breath of life. Thank you hackers!

1. Continue to find epic locations to setup Team Deathmatches.

2. Create these matches and try to make them require as much skill as possible but still be action packed.

3. Make playlist with created TDM for crew to play.

4. Play created playlist of TDM with crew against anyone who joins.

5. Too far into the future to know right now.

Money is not, and never has been on the list. All the money does is give kids with ADD something to do. Money that has no value is worthless and a waste of time.

This. I love making races and deathmatches and playing freemode. Money just makes the game a boring grind. Would be cool if I were level 120 so I had all the unlocks too.

Really? I did the LSC glitch when it was first discovered. Made 20m and haven't bothered again. I didn't even know what coveted was until 2 days ago.

 

I have a blast in this game with or without the money.

Yup, thats exactly what I was intending.

 

GTA money and RP is comparable to COD's prestige system. They design the level system so players have a very long goal to achieve. These players need this goal, because without it, they do not know how to enjoy the game for what it is. Multiplayer video games are not about how much time you've racked up, they are about competition and improving your abilities so you can become part of games that go into complex strategy and team work and take pride in your success. I pity the noobs who will never get there.

 

Weapon unlocks shouldn't even exist if you want to be truely competitive. They should either be pickups during a match or available to everyone. This is where I think they did a good job with the creator. The host has the option to turn owned weapons off, which will make level worthless and skill the only thing that matters.

People are acting as if the entire game is simply: Get money, unlock item. Everyone is playing to unlock stuff and not to have fun. You remember GTA IV? What do you unlock using money in that? Not a lot. The fun came from playing the game not from grinding.

 

Games never used to have all this unlocking sh*t. You didn't have to play for 20 straight hours to get the RPG in Duke Nukem 3D. No you just pick it up. Online games are about playing together or against people not progression toward a pointless goal that only gives you a bit more of the freedom you should already have.

 

I'm not going to lie but I think it's kind of sad when people say "Got all the money, got all the unlocks. Nothing left to do." If you're only playing to unlock stuff then IMO you're not playing it right.

I think most people are getting their "traditional" fun in regardless of their progress on unlocks. The points and the unlocks are a mechanism to get people to keep playing, yeah they aren't necessary all the time to have fun, but generally like someone above said people need goals to stay active in doing something.

i got hooked up with a little over 1bil this weekend. Prior to, I would glitch myself up to about 2 mil (pre patch) and try to teeter there because whatever car modding I did would take a chunk. I didnt want to lose my Entity or my Ztype because they weren't cheap to fully mod...but I didn't want to use them much either.

 

I've replaced all the cars i can buy and can no take a Stinger GT out for a day if I want...get tired of it...and move on. my garage will be more for rare cars with 1 or 2 spots for crap I can buy and i'll buy when I'm in the mood to drive something new.

 

I'm no longer bound to the commerce issues and I can enjoy online like I do story...financially careless. I haven't done the same ol' Lester or Martin mission in a while and i don't care to. They're not that fun. I feel like heists will be good for the crew aspect but now my crew and I can just cruise around and do what we want. For my have-not buddies...I'll scoop up and tune up rides so they can sell...in turn enjoying their game more too. Win Win. Sorry if more money = more problems for you...but not here.

 

I bet you broke asses out there haven't had fight clubs in the back of personal dump trucks while riding around the map. Having more money than you're able to spend frees you up to find out what all else you can do in game.

I want to start a stickied thread, "I just dropped into a freeroam session and immediately got shot in the face point-blank with a sawed-off. I'm so happy that I am playing the game the right way!!" :p NOT

 

At least, as a result of many miserable nights of grinding, I finally leveled up above 50, so that I could put a mugger on the guy.

Meh. I did the LSC glitch for a while within the first few days it was discovered. I mean, yeah, its nice being able to buy everuthing you want without mission grinding but I personally feel that earning your money and the cars/guns and stuff you have is just so much more satisfying.People can have all the fun they want with their wealth, but but i'm gonna play the game RPG style like I belive it`s supposed to be. Plus anyone with real skill need not worry about these poons that hire people to do their dirty work. Can't remember the last time someone actually claimed a bounty on my head.

no one said the game would get boring the day you get a ton of money. Its weeks later when you dont see a point in doing anything but free roaming with your tank or chrome adder that it becomes boring. If i just wanted to drive and customize cars id play forza or something and if i wanted to free roam killing ppl id play a real shooter. I personally anyways enjoy doing some of everything and slowly buiding my way up in the game.

 

I feel like im playing a different game than most ppl though. ppl say its so hard to make money now but it takes about 10 hours of gameplay to earn enough money for the most expensive car in the game. I think the progression in this game is quicker than they intended seeing as they planned on ppl playing for a long time
