Cargo plane has a hinged nose -- Did that come up in the game?

I only saw one of the appearances of the cargo plane in Trevor's mission, but I understand it appears a second time.

 

I'm just wondering if it's ever shown with the nose open or if this is just a little touch than went unused:

I only ask, of course, because this is a feature of these kinds of cargo planes:

 

 

 

Oh, and I heard the second appearance is in one of the Strangers & Freaks missions or something like that, I'm not certain. I just vaguely recall reading about it.

I know it appears in Dom's second (i believe) mission where you ride the 4-wheelers into and then out of one. That's probably the only other appearance.

Well the hinged front is a nice touch, too bad it didn't get utilized.

As a matter of fact you can open the nose of the cargoplane! It takes a little more force than to open the ramp of the Titan, but it works! The nose then rises and falls slowly like with the original plane. What the use of this feature should have been, I don´t know, maybe *R knows.

Anyway, closing the nose doesn´t work so well, but look yourself:
