It's ridiculously early and I wouldn't even expect them to begin actual development on the next gen GTA for at least another 2 years. They have probably already begun development. Seems fake to me. They are still working on GTA Online and they already confirmed story DLC. I don't think they are focusing on a new game when GTA5 still has work that needs to be done. If GTA5 is Los Santos, it would make sense that GTA6 is San Fierro and GTA7 is Los Venturas. San Fierro is garbage, Las Venturas I'd be more than happy with. All I know is that I hope the next GTA is set in Vice City and South Florida. I'm 90% certain our next GTA is going to cover multiple cities. I've got a feeling it's going to be VC, LV, and SF. Shhh you heard it here first folks With next gen it's possible. Just imagine that. I've tossed this idea around in my head for a while for DLC, I've even imagined where the freeway extentions could go (long bare stretch of freeway between Paleto Bay and Braddock Pass, halfway point between the two exits on the Palomino Freeway). I mean, think about it, what honest use do the people of Southern San Andreas have for the freeways? Are there truly that many people travelling between LS and the countryside day and night? For IV, they broke new ground in DLC by producing what was esentially an entirely new game by way of characters and story. Who says they won't push it to the limit again and make an entirely new game in way of location and "vibe"? It wouldn't be episodic, per se. No, I'm not setting myself up for disapointment. They haven't had much consitancy of bringing them out one after the other each year, not since the earlier versions of the game, and they just keep getting bigger and bigger. (not including alternate or console/handheld releases) 1997 - GTA 1999 - GTA 2 and London 2001 - GTA 3 and the spin off in 2002 - Vice City 2004 - San Andreas 2005 - Liberty City Stories 2006 - Vice City Stories 2008 - Gta 4 then in 09 was the Gay Tony and Lost and Damned spin offs 2013 - GTA 5 Most likely 2014 will see a spin off of this years game. Unless, Paradise City is going to be the name of the spin off game? After all, San Andreas has been done... but it will most likely be called San Andreas Stories and possibly another spin off with some name along the title name like Balled Of Gay Tony was... However, they may be looking to quickly do a game for the new gen systems? But I doubt it... they will probably just release GTA5 again with the 1 or 2 spin offs in the one collection for the new gen systems, bundle them together, improve the graphics by 10% and rip you off by saying if you pre-order it you get exclusive access to something crap and pointless like the Blimp. GTA5 feels unfinished and was released weeks before next gen release. A simple port to a next gen isnt what R* does. Especially as there will be a lot Open Worlds for Next Gen soon. GTA5 with its "old" engine couldnt compete with The Division/MGS5/Watch_Dogs ( The Witcher 3 even its an RPG ) and Co. in graphics. They knew this before. So releasing a Next Gen GTA in like 2015 would make sense to me. And announcing such a game would rather keep the sales for GTA5 up than bring them down. Noone would wait 2 years instead of buying a current game. I always say those "leaks" are fake. And its the case this time as well. I've played a tonne of the series and was totally taken in by how closely it stuck to established story from the other games and tied in the previous rumours about the game. I'd say, when it comes to video games, it's a healthy policy to ignore everything that isn't directly announced by the company itself. Leaks are very rarely real. The award for the wrongest post goes to you. sh*t leaks all the time and tonnes of it is real. But feel free to know about things only when the companies tell you, you're likely to have an experience much closer to the one they intended that way. Could they already have an idea on the next location? Sure, but would they really give it a title (a very un-GTA like title in fact) this early on? Probably not.
