turningup02 Posted December 16, 2013 Author Share Posted December 16, 2013 Well nobody said they started developing GTA 6, Just like anyone with a mind believes that rockstar had a meeting to discuss possible plans for GTA 6. Maybe a few concept images of what the next game is gonna be like. GTA 4 had about almost 1 1/2 years of pre planning before actual developers entered the studios to start working on the game. I want Sleeping Dogs 2 way more than the next GTA. they are not making a sequel. its a new game called Triad Wars that will be set in the same universe. i did enjoy sleeping dogs a lot. i hope they add a lot more to it with what you can do in the game. I also think Sleeping Dogs was the reason i did not enjoy GTA5 as much. you go from being an undercover cop game to work for the cops in gta. They're a marketing firm centered around online and mobile based content engagement (...) Rockstar may have taken a low road with GTA V in ways, but I wouldn't write them off as becoming another Activision and trying to push another GTA title out the door quite yet. It's pretty evident that they want to support GTA Online for awhile. There's more content coming out for V's single player too, as they said. And there's still an upcoming PC release to contend with at some point. At the EARLIEST, all of that considered, I see the next official GTA title getting announced late 2015/early 2016, with a possible release in late 2017, early 2018. Huffin-Puffin Posted December 17, 2013 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Whilst R* have a great history of keeping secrets, and this looks sh*t and probably fake, you guys are crazy if you think they're not already working on VI in some form. These projects are enormous undertakings and they become projects which cost millions and take hundreds of people to produce. To create that type of project you need to have planned it. You need an idea of the scale and exactly what is going to be your focus. Those trips that Rockstar employees take to the cities they're recreating are planned out and you can bet that in the very early, initial stages of the process they consider and visit multiple locations. If you want to do years of research, and have years on development and still get it out in 5 years you need to start very early, preliminary research on this type of stuff either as soon as you finish your last game or before. It's vaguely possible (I don't think Rockstar have debunked it yet) that this was from some sort of very early meeting for another GTA game, or a massive expansion to GTAO that they're planning.
