The Showroom: Emperor Habanero

Good afternoon and I hope everyone is doing well playing in each other’s custom maps and whatnot. I haven’t tested them out personally but I’m sure they are loads of fun. But enough of that and let’s get down to business, it’s the Emperor Habanero.

Background/Design

The Habanero is back once again making its second appearance in now the land of long roads and great scenery. The Habanero is a four passenger mid-size SUV which is said to be inspired from either the Lexus RX or the Toyta Venza. There isn’t much to say about the design, and not to mention the poor customization option that it has L . Either way the Habanero still sort of sports a unique style compared to most of the SUVs in the game. The name comes from a type of chili, which is odd because it doesn’t really look like it’s a counterpart of the Porsche Cayenne, a car with a name of a type of chili as well.

Speed – 6.0

Below average acceleration with a decent top speed… nothing too bad but nothing too good neither. The Habanero clearly doesn’t focus itself more on a speedy vehicle, making the Habanero perfect for cruising the countryside rather than zooming around in a track.

Handling – 6.5

The low ground clearance gives it a more stable performance, but sadly the suspension doesn’t do much giving the ride a awkward roll. On the bright side, the Habanero does have AWD giving it better handling regardless of the terrain… it’s just that the body isn’t really built for bumpy roads so you’re better off just driving on pavement.

Overall Rating – 6.5

The Habanero isn’t really a bad vehicle, it’s just not popular enough for people to notice its existence. As sad as that sounds it really does belong near the bottom of the players’ minds, mainly because it has such a confusing build. So it’s not fast enough to be on the track, but it’s also not built to be off-road… and at the same time the engine doesn’t compliment the overall suspension of the vehicle… Which results into me… not knowing what its actually made for. OH WAIT yeah I know ROADTRIPS, if you ARE looking for a vehicle to take your buddies with you on missions, causing ruckus, robbing stores, etc… don’t look for this vehicle… because it’s quite fragile as well… :/ I give up lol.

So what do you guys think of the Emperor Habanero?

And if you happen to own one, make sure to post pictures!

Oh God, I f*cking hate those things.

I feed them to the sea spirit that lives off the edge of the Del Pero pier.

I had one of those, a little blueberry used to mess around. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures.

LOL

Beautiful and tragic at the same time.

Understandable, it's not really a vehicle you'd go around taking pictures of :p

So what do you think wins between the Hab. and the Radius?

Habanero is low on my list of cars to pick up and spend money on, mainly because it was in IV and I didn't like it then and the times when I've jacked it recently it feels just the same.

lol I consider those to be the poor child of the SUV class. ;) It's actually probably the only SUV in the game I have absolutely no interest in.

OP can you do a Tailgater showroom? That one will really turn some heads in the community.

I would love to do a Tailgater showroom... the only problem is I don't have one lol. Any tips on sure fire ways that I can get one?

Lol if I had to choose between those two, I'd have to go with the Radius... it handles itself better on the streets and can take more hits than this piece of paper :p

It's a nice looking SUV in that it doesn't look like an SUV, it's like the Blista's bigger brother or something.

I'd get one if my garages weren't full up.

Rather than the Tailgater (which you can get by winning the tutorial race while driving it), I'd suggest some of the other (crappy) vehicles that spawn around unnoticed by the community, vehicles like the Vulcan Ingot or the Zirconium Stratum.

Tbh, this lowered is a better hatchback than the new Blista will ever be. Still, this thing rolls like a barrel down a hill.

You can find them at the Observatory. Just have to find a new session a few times, if it didn't spawn there the first time.

There's no competition IMO, this thing is clearly inferior to the Radius' performance... BUT I do admit that it looks visually better :p

Nice, I'll make sure to check that place out! Thanks for the tip.

Well I don't think I can do the tutorial again to get that car :p Either way I think all the cars should have their own showroom topic... btw there is a topic on the Ingot. Check my signature for the link!

You can get the tailgater by checking the tennis court parking lot when Simeon requests it. It helps a bunch if the person you're with is driving one, if you're on Xbox and need assistance acquiring one, hit me up!

Hm yeah im hearing a lot of about the golf course as well, so ill try both places when I get the text from Simeon! Unfortunately I am on Ps3 lol.

Yeah I didn't get to find it, but I'm pretty sure I'll eventually stumble into one as long as I keep visiting those places whenever Simeon shoots me up the text.

----

OT: There's a disturbing lack of SUVs with players these days :p Just a thought from observations.

Yeah if I had to choose which one was more of a soccer mom it would probably be the Radius... the Habanero is close but the number one is the Regina for sure.
