Hakosuka
Does it get on your nerves whenever you put on an aftermarket exhaust and the car backfires every time you let go of the throttle? It was cool at first but now, I can't drive normally without the car spitting flames even when I'm going about 30 mph. It's a little detail, I know, but it gets really annoying. Tupiz
I've always thought that there's too much backfire, I even removed the custom exhaust system from my Tailgater as it pissed me off so much. The rate of backfire was fine in IV, wasn't it?

The rate of backfire was fine in IV, wasn't it? Yeah, it was just right in IV because it didn't happen too often. I only keep the custom exhausts on because I like how some of them sound/look. In IV, I also liked how a lot of cars didn't even back fire, only high-end sports cars did. In V, you could put a custom exhaust on a beat down car and you'll experience back fire. Killerdude
The backfiring in the Beater cars in IV was an awesome touch, Shame it's not in V.
ezfaun
You can do the same thing irl. Just retard the ignitiion timing a little bit on throttle release and you get: (Turn your volume down. This is LOUD)
Laveerre
The backfiring in the Beater cars in IV was an awesome touch, Shame it's not in V. Yes it is? It's the same as in IV but in EVERY car (when you crash it enough so that engine smokes and oil drips out of the engine)
GTA-Freak-Vi
Nah, I love the backfires even though it happens frequently but it looks so good when cruising around the city esp at night.

sukmieazz
I kind of like it. Driving down the highway at night in a yellow ruined with its weird custom exhaust blasting flames is cool as f*ck.

IHerbert
Kind of annoying whenever I attempt to drive into downtown LS with Franklin's supercharged Buffalo from his Vinewood place. Every turn. Every turn.

This aspect is a lot nicer in V, to be honest. If you crash the sportier cars (or any car for that matter) a lot, the exhaust does shoot smoke (but a lot less than a beater car). HighSpeedDirt
The one small detail that I appreciated when it happened completely by accident, was in SP and a cop shot the gas tank on my Bati 801, and I didn't notice the fuel spilling behind me like deadly bread crumbs...long story short, the cop shot the gas trail and as I looked back the flame followed me and...BOOM! It was the one time I didn't get frustrated for dying, and spent the next few minutes laughing my a** off. True story...
Lil ski
Kind of annoying whenever I attempt to drive into downtown LS with Franklin's supercharged Buffalo from his Vinewood place. Every turn. Every turn. I just drive that bitch off the cliff a couple blocks down and pray to god it doesn't explode. Then hop out and jump in the nearest Feltzer/Carbonizare/Rapid GT/Sentinel that's riding around in that area.
djdeath2009
When you drive normally like a ped you don't need to push the throttle all the way and it normally doesn't do it but when you do give it 75% throttle or more the rpms are higher c uaseing it to backfire
