How does the game boring to the "billionares"

People who say that kind of thing treated GTA:O as if gaining virtual assets and currency were the only reasons to even bother playing in the first place, because that stuff apparently means something to them. I'm going to go ahead and assume that anyone who enjoyed IV's multiplayer is doing just fine, regardless of their hundreds of millions/billions

Not a billionaire, but I've been gifted 600millions friday night. Could have had more if I didn't leave the session when I did.

 

It's not that the game becomes boring, it's just that it becomes clear that earning any sort of amount of money afterwards seems dwarfed and irrelevant.

 

Trust me, when you see your balance being topped up out of nowhere with 9 or 10 digits figures, it makes anything else feel pointless.

 

Yes, I can still get enjoyment from completing jobs or winning races, or messing around in freeroam. But the thrill of monitoring your bank balance is gone.

 

Hell, I did the LSC glitch and had a few spare millions leftover from after the patch. It was gonna be hard for me to run out of money, but I could still see it going down steadily and I would still feel rewarded for earning cash.

 

Being suddenly given a 100 times the same amount for free is great, but takes away some cool aspects of the game as well.

 

But to be honest, we're all just moaning about being loaded. There's worse things out there in the world and in GTAO.

 

Call it "bourgeoisie's ennui".

Those people are subtly bragging. Because honestly, there are very easy ways to get rid of that money fast. For example, purchasing Adders over and over until you deplete your bank account.
