I Personally think that GTA VI shouldn't be set in Vice City because we just recently got the Sun, Sand & Sex theme with GTA V. I Don't think we should go to another "Sandy City". Although, I Would love to see a new Vice City, I think we should see a new San Fierro or Las Venturas first.

Do you agree?

NOOO JUDAS!

I'd LOVE a remastered Vice City. But then again I'm just one of those fan boys. You do bring up some interesting points, but I feel that because Vice City has nice beaches that it should be labeled as a "Sandy City." If anything, Las Venturas would be a sandy city, right? Although I'd love a map like that without the mountains, but a city + desert. That'd be sweet.

Also, remember when Rockstar said they'd like to make one big ultimate GTA? I hope something comes from that soon, that'd be so tits.

I would like to see Las Venturas. casinos, gambling, even more prostitutes. But seriously it would look good in the HD Universe. But I would also like a GTA game to be set in the past again.

Its vice city time now, we have LC 4 times and SA 2 times. I like the vice city style, only map was not that big.

LC: GTA1, III, Advance, LCS, IV, CW

LS: SA, V

SF: GTA1

LV: SA

VC: VC, VCS

San Andreas in GTA 1 was based on San Francisco.

So, SF and LV have less games than VC.

To me, Vice City only really worked because of the 80's setting. I'd like to see a new city based of Detroit, Chicago, or maybe Memphis-focused on gangs. Carcer city would work too.

With "Sandy City", I Mean Beaches & Fake Palm trees. Las Venturas does include Palm Trees but not even one beach. So...Yeah.

Not arguing your point but woukld like to add a couple of other notes about VC.

Florida is a delta and flat as a board meaning no mountains or even hills.

I think what made VC so cool was the feeling of being in another era. Thes could easilybe done with the 1960s or 70s in any other city. I have an itch saying "SF & LV" which would work nicely. Hippies and lounge lizards anyone?

Just because Vice City was set in an unforgettable era, doesn't mean it would always remain in there. Come on, move on and try to think the possibilities of a modern Vice City instead of trying to remain in that same era again.

Why can't it work as a dark game? When you watch shows like CSI Miami do you think of the beautiful beaches, palm trees etc?

Infact when I play VC and VCS, VC has a more "grittier" feeling to it like GTA III.

I guess what I'm saying is it could have a dark backdrop.

While I somewhat agree with what you're saying, I was of the understanding that you were one of the people who wanted a midwest city for the next game?

It doesn't really bothered me where GTA VI is set. I'd prefer something like Detroit, Chicago etc, but I've always had a soft spot for VC/Miami.

While I understand what your saying OP I don't think it would be right if they just skiped Vice city. 2 of the 3 PS2 era locations have got their own numbered games I think vice city deserves it's own one aswell. Also since Miami's landscape isn't as diverse as California maybe the game would take less time to develop, I honestly wouldn't mind a map smaller than V just as long as it doesn't take another 5 years for the next game to come out.

Made this logo for GTAVI set in Vice city.

I agree OP, But I still want an HD Vice City..

Although I'd much rather they set it in Detroit/Windsor area, That'd be nice.

I say is that give us SF or LV for GTA 6, then VC as a DLC or GTA 7. I'm not saying that we never should see VC ever again but we do need a break from Palm Trees. keep a gap.

i think they would reimagine Vice City but it would be a Subtitle Game(Spinoff) like GTA:Vice City and GTA:San Andreas but not Main Game like 1,2,3,4,5

Naughtius Maximus

I will obviously not care if VI set place in Vice City or otherwise. Vice City is my least favourite GTA setting but I don't say like VI shouldn't be set in Vice City. Actually I would like to see a HD remake of Vice but I won't care if there will not be a HD remake. In my opinion, VI will probably be set in Vice City, dealing with brutal, bloodbath, new fashioned gang wars between drug cartels (although Miami's crime popularity was at the top during 80's, but it's still a popular city in terms of crime but not just harsh as it was).

There are my prior setting choices for next GTA:

- St.Louis: As ya' know, St.Louis is one of the biggest crime cities in the U.S I always wanted to see a GTA (or at least another crime video game) in St.Louis.

- Detroit: If I am asked "Which city would you like to set a GTA game in, except for the ones that are used before?", Detriot definitely may my initial answer. I always see a potential for Detroit for being a GTA city. It has the highest homicide rates throughout all United States (or one of the highest) and it has a highly-developed/developing car industry, which would be a good background for typical car jacking scenarios in GTA series. The city streets are run by brutal, dangerous Afro-American drug gangs and suburbs have a lot of potential for GTA (Detroit suburbs have interesting crime stories). All I can say, I can't see a better choice than Detroit for a GTA city.

- Philadelphia: My favourite choice after Detroit. Yeah, maybe Philadelphia was in its outlaw shape in 80's but now it has a great potential too. Philadelphia is one of the biggest docks for East Coast, k's of heroin are distributed to neighbour areas (such as Baltimore, Maryland, New York, Detroit etc.) from Philadelphia and Philadelphia docks are mainly under the control of Eastern European drug operations (especially Greeks). Also Philadelphia dock is a large junction for car smugglers and their operations.

- Texas/Albequerque (New Mexico): These locations are good choices if a GTA plot concerned on Mexican Cartels and their operations in U.S is choiced. Texas, Albequerque or whole New Mexico state is a busy drug running location for Mexican Cartels. After getting the drugs into North America there, they distribute them to especially California and Miami (the biggest drug markets for cartels) or less Mexican operated areas such as New York or Canada. Also Texas is the story center of bloody massacres, brutal homicides and them notorious Mexican Cartel executions. Also there are lots of drug gangs (especially Latin ethnical) in Texas and New Mexico, aside Mexican Cartels, especially Juarez Cartel and Sinaloa Cartel.

Well, these are my choices. Although I don't like Vice City so much, it would be nice to see a new generation Vice City game. :)

You guys act like you cant recreate the feeling.....And Miami isn't just a beach guys, nor is it a "sandy city". The beach is literally on a seperate island to the east with the west being a swamp... The only areas with sunshine and fake palm trees are Miami beach (an island) and downtown... the rest is Iraq....

To answer OP, I really truly want a Morden day rendition of Vice City but a city that artistically and ego-wise is stuck in the 80's. Either have a story about a Cuban immigrant with a Niko-esque story or a Jewish retiree caught between a rock and a hard place.

Keep everything modern day Miami, just change all the buildings, art, cars and clothing colors into exaggerated pastels and neons (even make the Pay'n'Spray colors pastels only). Have NPC's fashion choice inspired by 80's trends yet still modern day apparel, same for the protags clothes. Have that "always party mode" atmosphere to the city, kind of like the TBoGT vibe. Lots of drug themes. Lots and lots of drug themes...

Don't forget to throw in some 80's rendition cars alongside the modern ones, the Miami Vice undercover cops that show up at 4-stars, and for god's sake don't forget the VICE CITY FM!!!!

I would like to see GTA leave the United States, but I heard somewhere that apparently Rockstar said that will never happen, so my vote is for Las Venturas.

I didn't like the dark gloomy atmosphere of Liberty City, I liked the bright and lively feel of Los Santos yet once you dug deep into the personalty of the civilians, things you hear on the radio, and the stuff you do as the protags the whole city is really dark but keeps up the facade of being a sun soaked good times on the beach place which I found to be brilliant.
