I mean, it has better graphics. Bigger map (by a long long way)

more side missions

better vehicles

A more dynamic and compelling story.

A protagonist you can actually relate too.

Oh yeh and its 3 years older than GTA V.

Agree withe thread title.... but disagree with everything you just said (except the bigger map and the game being 3 years older).

GTA V has better graphics (not that graphics really even matter to a certain extent)

As far as the side missions, I'll admit, I don't remember how many there were in Just Cause 2

More dynamic and compelling story? I didn't really like the whole 3 characters things in GTA V, but to say Just Cause 2's story is better.... that's dumb.

A protag you can relate to?!? Are you kidding?!? I would only have to convince a retard otherwise... not even going to touch that one.

Just Cause 2 single player is definitely better (except the story, but who cares, it's an open world game. I play open world games for fun not for story. You want a story? Go play an RPG (which I do btw)).

Since R* considers GTA online an entity on it's own.... than I have no choice but to say without a doubt that Just Cause 2 is by far better than GTA V. GTA V online is much better than Just Cause 2 though (when it's actually working).

I could get into details... but for anyone who has played both, I'm sure you agree and you know all the reasons.

just got rid of several posts from this thread--- keep it on topic an civil and don't respond the flames nor feed the trolls...

There is still a record of this stuff so don't think since it is gone it is forgotten-- consider this a warning.

-Better graphics? Hell no. Bigger map? Obviously.

-And how many are repeats?

-Subjective.

-Yes with the same cutscene of the boss pulling up next to you in some cart, barking an order at you in a HORRIBLE accent, and then speeding away.

-And yet you have 3 to pick from in V so there's more variety.

Graphics? Give me a break. I admit for such a large game the graphics were great for its time, but there is no way they pass the detail in GTA V.

Also I found there was nothing to do other than main missions and grappling hook. Which is a shame for such a large map.

Also I don't think I can relate to a maniac ravaging an island with a single grappling hood and infinite parachutes.

I thought Just Cause 2 was so bad it was laughable. The story and characters were dreadful. It was an 18 certificate game written for 10 year olds. The map was utter crap. It went on and on and on with absolutely no attention to detail and absolutely nothing to do except blow things up. If anyone seriously thinks the graphics are better than GTA5 they're either blind or not playing the same version of the game I'm playing. The graphics aren't half as good as GTA5 and the physics are completely abysmal, the driving in particular is laughable.

GTA5 is by no means a perfect game but it and Red Dead Redemption have pretty much set a bar in open world gaming that I suspect Just Cause 3 when it comes out will have difficulty meeting. GTA 5 and GTA Online both have a long way to go yet with DLC.

lol .. Trolls are getting more creative with every topic

This isn't creativity.

This is desperation.

Creativity is a thing of intellect. People like the OP seem to lack it.

But I assume you were being sarcastic, in which case, great.

@Xerukal

Yes of course (last post was directed not towards you, in case it was mistakenly assumed)

Today, they started with utter garbage and now they have reached to a point making some of the matter their own thoughtful opinion even if that appears less meaningful...
