SpruceMoose
It just sends shudders down my spine, just simply how lame it is. Like who does this ever? what are they in preschool?
Wolfhuman
Funny, i already made a topic about it. That's because when they do a heist they can't say each other name's because they can be faster caught when someone's hears their real name. But they maybe sticked with it. GTA_REEFER
Lame is complaining about what two video game characters call each other for short. People do this in real life too. Jimmy Boston
I'm playing IV and it bugs me when they call him "NB". Doesn't sound natural. Maybe it looked better on the script page, but it doesn't work when voiced. Didn't bother me as much in V, since they had an excuse for it. ExitiumMachina
No, I find a large portion of the complaints I see on this forum to be lame though. Can you patch that?
SmoothGetaway
Not annoying, it makes sense for professional criminals. Also, yeah Roman called Niko NB, but that was likely because Roman thought Brucie was the sh*t and was unaware of his bromo tendencies.
Ixnay
Hmm, interesting. But is it still too identifying? If you don't want to use a name, why use the initial that it starts with? That's just asking for trouble down the line. I know, I know; if you're going to lie or obfuscate, keep it as close to the truth as possible. But how about random numbers? That would make it harder for any connections to be made at a later point in time. "Hey, eleventy-six, get your ass over here!" ??????????? Deactivated_20171203
It does seem a little off putting at first, but it does ease in eventually. Notice during heists, the protags refer to eachother as "T" or "M" or "F", "Frank" or any thousand different combinations. Just never their full names. That is understandable as it is to protect their identities and remain anonymous to witnesses, cops, etc. However, in everyday context, it does seem a little lame. Mike and Trevor are at and approaching their mid 40s. They're not in high school anymore. They have always been the best of friends all the same so I don't complain about it. Funny, i already made a topic about it. That's because when they do a heist they can't say each other name's because they can be faster caught when someone's hears their real name. But they maybe sticked with it. ^ No IMOs this time, buddy?
