Geralt of Rivia
@General Like I said, there were other ways to multiply your dough like the stock market system. What makes that any different than SA's casinos? Sure the casinos were pretty to look at, and the games were fun, but the fundamental principle is still the same - increase your money. Edit: *Oh f*ck...'Redx165' is in the house...everybody brace yourselves I was so excited about the stocks and shares coming into GTA V. But let's be honest mate, that stock market system was pretty weak. I did not even know what the f**k I was doing half the time. One thing is for sure, I barely made any money off of it. There was no proper introduction to it, it felt so detached from the game, and Rockstar should have made it a bit more clearer in some form. I just gave up on it in the end. It just felt incomplete, don't know why. It's pretty simple. Just buy low and sell high. There's not much to it. Read up on it for 5 minutes and you're set. Yeah I know that part of it. I know how real stocks and shares work. I just did not know how to go about it in the game, how to get started, what companies to invest in, when to sell or buy, nothing like that. In the end, I just could not be f**king bothered with it anymore, frankly I lost the excitement and interest in it. It's completely random outside of Lester's missions. You just gotta guess. What I do is look at previous records of how the company is doing (You can see the graph on their stock screen). If they go up/down frequently, I buy when they're low, and then sell when they go high again. Sometimes that doesn't work out though. I've made good profits and bad losses. That's also the only reason to make a good amount of money. Then you just need to use your imagination. What would happen to FlyUS if something drastic happened to AirEmu? Stocks would go up. There was also plenty of threads on this forum to help you out with it too. Even still, I had plenty of cash anyway to mod a few cars, buy plenty of nice clothes etc, but then I used the guys who took the lowest cut when planning my heists. Made them more challenging and fun too. I was happy to wait til the end to purchase all the cool stuff like planes/boats/etc - it makes the final payoff seem even more the worthwhile. bash the fash m8s

It was not the ideal way to make some extra money from heists, especially if you did not really know how to best use it. @ Wolfhuman It's just a video game, it really is not that serious. Mr_Goldcard
GTA V is bigger than San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV combined. Enough said.

Official General
@ Masterfocker I suppose I could have put more effort into the stocks thing, but in the end, I really could not be bothered with it. Had Rockstar given a better and more clearer introduction to it than Lester's riddles, I'd have probably embraced it more. There could have been a great set of side missions for stocks that involved actually damaging and sabotaging different companies's business operations for stock market manipulation. You could then choose which companies to harass and guess the outcome as a template for investing in stocks and shares. Ah well, maybe next time. I feel like we'll have that in the next GTA though. I feel like the Stock was kinda a beta in GTA 5, to see how well it does so they can expand it in future games. Kinda like some stuff in GTA 4. PlayboiX™
Agreed I signed up for this.site because I enjoyed the game so much and was hoping to have discussions about it with like-minded people, but it seems most people on here bitch and complain about this game over so many trivial things OP is right that many people probably overhyped the game. Me, I didn't start paying attention to the game until about a month before the game came out. So I didn't really read all the different rumors for the last 4-5 years that put crazy thoughts in my mind about things that were going to be in the game. That probably helped me appreciate the game more because I didn't have all these crazy expectations I have learned not to pay too much attention to how games/movies/tv shows that I like are made because usually when I do that I will have all these crazy expectations that are never going to be met and only end up disappointed
