Gang attacks, still locked.

I miss be missing something completely, I'm level 34 now I believe and they're still locked, I've been a part of a few successful gang attacks but they haven't been initiated by me.

 

What's the method to unlocking them?

If you have red circles for gang attacks go into them and walk around pointing your gun at anything or anybody. That will usually get it to start, unless it is too close to the time for it to go away.

I don't believe I've ever found a red circle on my map without someone else already being in it, in the Stats > Content menu when you press pause, it says it's still locked.

you should've gotten a call from martin at lvl. 20 informing you of the gang attacks.

 

If he has already called you than look around the map, certain gang attacks depend on what lvl you are and time of day, when i was a beginner the first gang attack i completed was at a building in east los santos, can't rememeber exactly where it was but there was 10 merryweather mercs guarding the place.

Isn't it a Green Tick on your map ?

Anyway, if you see the red blob area - go to the middle of it and fling a grenade or sticky bomb, and it should initiate the gang attack.
