Did you try to buy it from the computer?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockstargames.gtasa

If you are logged in with your google account(also synced your phone with google) it will show your device on that link and if it is supported or not. If you buy it, it will download the game to the phone.

Yes, it will be only shown on Computer and just says not aviable...

It's possible your phone is not supported.

I finally got the game to work, although it wasn't the most ideal method. Runs pretty good with the settings maxed out.

Here are some screens. Apologies for the game looking like complete ass, since I seem to have the worst possible textures. The screens don't really do the Los Santos sunset justice. In-game the sky looks just like the PS2 version.

If you're rooted then you can side-load Market Helper and change your device's name to Nexus 7 for example and it will install, but you'll have to have 2.2 or above.

If you're not rooted then you'll have to install the app by "other means" unfortunately.

3rd patch finally got it to work on my S4.

Frame rate is iffy though. Granted I've only tried it on absolute max and just below max settings all around, but my phone is supposed to be around top of the line. Reset my phone, made sure the RAM usage was low and no apps were open beforehand too. Put the frame limiter on/off..

It's probably perfectly playable, but it just doesn't have that smooth, flawless feeling that GTA 3 and VC had.

If anyone has got any recommended settings for the S4 to get a better/more consistent frame rate, I'd appreciate. Don't think I'll be playing with my phone for a few hours.

I hope this game will be able to run on Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mini. (Well, it's the same thing as S4 except smaller and fatter)

"Problem parsing the package".

I tried both Market Helper and Side-Loading the app, both don't work. I'm using 2.3.7.

@up

Now game run only on Android 4.x.x.

But I'm pretty sure Google Play said 2.2+. Argh! Did version 1.0.0 run on 2.2 and above?

Got the game running on my S3, but it's hella slow though(15-20fps). What's the best display settings?

I am having doubts :/ I don't know if I should buy this game because I don't want it crashing or whatever. I had no problem whatsoever with GTA Vice City and III so I hope GTA San Andreas is the same. A lot of people reported that there are a lot of crashes, game is not loading, terrible frame rate, stuttering and lag. Is anyone on HTC One experiencing any problems? I don't care about the graphics, I can turn it all the way down and still enjoy it :p

I guarantee you atleast 80 percent of those 1 star ratings are from when it didn't work and users just don't bother to change it when it does work. Go on all reviews and click from my device only and you'll see the other users who rated it which has the same device as you.

Anyway, I hope to see some moders support on this, maybe get some popular pc mods to work, I remember modding gta 3 on ios back when I had an ipod changing stores to burger king and also changing vehicles to a real better looking one.

I have problem, I start the game, then pop up that Social Club window, then I choose to play offline, but after I chose it, game crash (black screen and close). Any ideas how to fix it?

I had the same problem with version 1.3, so i installed 1.2 and it worked like a charm

My device is Xperia Z1

I found a way to possibly get GTA San Andreas running on other devices with Gingerbread installed. First you need both an APK version of 1.0.0 and the .obb data that goes along with it (I'm not going to tell you where you get these files unfortunately, so you'll have to find them yourselves).

Then connect your device to your computer and drag the GTA San Andreas.APK to your device. Go onto your device and install the APK but DON'T OPEN IT.

The next step requires extracting the contents of both main.2.com.rockstargames.gtasa.obb and patch.2.com.rockstargames.gtasa.obb. You can download programs to do this but I just used WinRAR instead.

Extract the contents to your phone. They should be placed in the folder called: sdcard/Android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files.

Run the application and it should go through the install process very quickly. I recommend turning off your Internet connection before doing this.

*EDIT* I just tried this myself and it doesn't work. I'm about to burst a blood vessel, this is so infuriating. Can't War Drum Studios get anything right? Why on earth do they need to update their .apk versions to only run on specific versions?! (1.0.0 - 2.2+, 1.0.1 - 3.0+, 1.0.2 - 4.4+)

I've tried everything. I tried dragging the .obb files to sdcard/Android/obb and that doesn't work. I tried extracting the contents of the .obb files and placing them in sdcard/Android/data and that doesn't work either. I even tried "spoofing" my phone into thinking it was another device altogether and that doesn't work either. How come GTA 3 and Vice City both work absolutely fine yet San Andreas can't at all even open?

who has a 100% savegame ;p?

I'd like one with Vigilante/Paramedic/Fireman/Pimp/etc. missions completed as early into the game as possible. I never actually played San Andreas before besides a tiny bit on PC, so I want to experience the whole story for myself here.

I don't understand what all these specs actually mean, (it's all just quadwhatsit5000 to me) but the RAM is 1.78GB on the S4, and there doesn't really seem to be a change in FPS between a lot of the settings. I mean it's perfectly playable but it's not 60 that's for sure.

I managed to get it installed on my Xperia Play but it refuses to open. The app opens then very quickly closes.

I give up.
