I renamed the colorcycle.dat to timecyc.dat only to see what happens

Well...

dGj9P03.jpg

This also happens with some default timecycles in specific hours.

Try using the same timecyc while checking each hour of the day in the game.

Also,Take a look here to understand what I am talking about : http://hotmist.ddo.jp/id/weather.html

It looks like the font borders are slightly slimmer too.

I do like how there are no extraneous zeros on the mobile money count.

I like that too. both.

I hope you guys don't mind if I post a small CLEO script here which does just that.

{$CLEO .cs}0000: NOP// -- Clock Border0A8C: write_memory 0x58EB70 size 1 value 1 virtual_protect 0// -- Money Border0A8C: write_memory 0x58F58D size 1 value 1 virtual_protect 0// -- Money String Format06D2: [email protected] = "$%d"0A8C: write_memory 0x866C94 size 4 value [email protected] virtual_protect 00A93: end_custom_thread

Or here if you don't want to compile yourself..

These patches need Virtual Protect flag to be set or it'll work only with my ASI loader :pp

Oh, really?

I do use your ASI loader. Of course.. :D

I was using the address for the clock border even before you made your loader.

The money border and string format I just tryed an hour ago.

BTW, thanks to Deji for the addresses.

That shatter is amazing, I always wanted an HD version of it, all those I've found over the years were pretty crap.

Too bad the rest is pretty much the same, aside minor tweakes.

Apparently, vehicle reflections are "coded" on their dff's models. Mobile DFF's are not compatible with PC ones... anyone tried to have a look at them?

If you guys wants reflections on cars, I consider using this mod: http://www.libertycity.ru/files/gta-san-andreas/57878-san-andreas-gfx-ps2-to-pc.html

*ALERT: It's a Russian Web-Site, I just don't know the original source, if someone finds, I would be happy to change the link to a EN Version, btw the install is simple it's only an ASI to put in the GTA San Andreas folder.*

*Second ALERT: If you guys don't want the weather like PS2, don't replace the timecyc.dat*
It's not an EnbSeries and the reflections are smooth and reminds a lot the Mobile Version.
I don't know if in the mobile versions there are Lens Flares, but combining all these mods + Mobile Hud MOD by DK22Pac + This Lens Flare enhances a lot GTA: SA without modding it excessively.
http://gtaforums.com/topic/508919-sarel-lensflare/
I'm not here only just to share these mods, I just think they can enhance the experience combined with these mobile conversions.
Also, great work you guys made converting all those stuff, the texts are sharper and the HUD Icons are awesome, trees are much more detailed!! ; D
EDIT: But, I tried the HD Radar and The HD Weapon Icons mod, only the Hand icon was in HD and the Radar wasn't on HD.
EDIT2: It worked with Mod Loader WTF??

This mod was made by Dexx.

Don't know if there is an official topic though.

Well, this might be kinda off topic since it's not a conversion from Mobile to PC, but what I think would be a better match is UltraThing which is relatively lightweight too (compared to ENB).

I thought editing timecyc would be easier... Jesus.

Ok, the basic thing is lower the VALUE under HSV both in sky top and sky bottom. Then, some minor tweaks on sun colours, and finally color correction (and things start to get a little more complicated).

Final results, it looks SOMEWHAT SIMILAR to mobile, still far to be the exact same thing.

It looks nice!

This might be a stupid question but since I don't own GTA SA mobile, I can't know it.

Are the RGB weather colors exact the same as in the PC version? Even in colorcycle?

Oh yeah sure, but UltraThing haves a low reflection draw distance, so if a car gets something like 5 - 10 meters away it losts the Reflection effect.

Yes, timecyc.dat from mobile and PC are the same.

Colorcycle.dat on the other hand, are responsable for color corrections and other tweaks, it's like a appendix, something that complement the original timecyc. Still, technically speaking, nothing is known about how this file works.

That sounds complicated. The PC/consoles GTA SA has another extra timecyc file, timecycp. Does the game handles the same as

the mobile handles the colorcycle? Timecyc mods almost always comes with only a timecycle and not the timecycp.

Not sure why the timecycp.

It can take lots of time to make mobile timecyc work PC. Maybe take a screenhot at e.g. 12 AM, open it with MS Paint and

use the tool to determine the RGB codes.

Timecycp is the same as the default timecycle but with different lighting iirc.

Because the PS2 version had trails on top of that, which is what gave that orangeish glow to everything. Like in VC and GTA3.

Just to say, I give up on timecyc edit. SA has over 150 weather ID's, it's RIDICULOUS. And it's a pain in the ass to recreate the mobile atsmosphere, especially colour corrections.

Really? Cause it's a lot different after I replaced my PC timecyc with the PS2 one.

Just try looking at some comparison videos on the net.

The timecyc is the exact same on PC as it is on PS2, there is more to it than the timecyc that create effects like lens flare. Although, I did notice that the PS2 timecyc seems to use the 'illumination' feature in its timecyc (you can look at what it does with in-game timecyc editor), its nothing major though, it only increases the ambient light on dynamic objects like Peds and Vehicles.

PC Timecyc: TGOl6Sg.jpg

PS2 Timecyc: x77kmMI.jpg

Notice how CJ has more ambient light on him due to the illumination feature on the PS2 screenshot than the PC. (pretty sure its called illumination anyway. :p)
