I was thinking if any user in this thread would be able to recompile the mobile textures (from gta3.img) in their respective TXD files. They look quite better than the originals TBH. Thanks in advance

They're not. And some of them are worse than the PC ones. All the significant improvements was in the vegetation area, wich was already done and it's available on the first post.

Yeah, you're right. It was the colorcycle tricking my eyes that made them look cooler

I think a SweetFX that makes the saturation a bit more red might also make it look more in-line with the mobile version.

The only improved textures in mobile map are: vegetation, fences (much cleaner than PC ones), gym equipment and some other things here and there

 

The difference is that most of the mobile textures has got tweaked contrast and sharpness BUT they are more compressed so they look more plain anyway

Due to the mobile port fixing alpha related stuff, most textures with an alpha channel were improved, but since the PC version still have those issues, no point working on them

Well, mobile textures looked sharp due to the details that were applied to them. Those are present in the DimZet13 texture zip.

That kind of HDR filter can be easily done in photoshop and similars, and apart from the bark, the other ones are mostly the same in comparison

I remade the LOADSCS.txd made by DimZet13, replaced the Nvidia and EAX splash screens with Android ones, also removed all 7 remaining PC loading screens.

You can remake this hq fonts replacing the ¨ for the ~ ? I'm a brazilian gamer and of course, a gta fanboy since 2005.
I'm in a project for translate the trilogy to portuguese from Brazil. You can this " ¨ to ~ " for me?

 

Like that:
Before => Ää Öö
After => Ãã Õõ

I'm now in process of adding image comparisions to everything that didn't have any before. I recall that someone wanted this ages ago heh :p

And no I'm not cropping them since I'd like to show where are those changes as opposed to someone asking "OMG WHERE CHANGE" every time!

So what exactly am I supposed to do with 10,000 png files?

They are obviously not meant to be used with the game, but for modders that don't have access to mobile version's files.

I was thinking of including it when Hero figures either the postfx or refs first and then including mobile config in spoiler.

Yesterday I was redoing the vegetation textures, this time using more up to date tools with correct compression and mipmaps and all that stuff, but I realized there are some vegetation models that are different, and some textures looks bad using default PC models. I'm gonna wait until Hero updates his renderware converter then converting necessary models and releasing the whole pack.

Btw fellas could someone post places with more parked cars? I know about that near pay 'n spray in LS. I have one theory.

Edit: Even i though abt it and it may be complete BS but still. There is hope!

Wait you mean the changed icons? That's not possible.

I see you have the icons changed so no that's not a bug at all. That's normal behavior.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME

I've been trying to fix that freaking texture for weeks, and the culprit was a simple plugin!!!!!!

 

San Andreas a crazy open world modded game... :blink:

I know, I was surprised too.

Firstly I uninstalled modloader, then restaured all img's to make sure the game was using default models.

The problem was still there.

Then I tought about a badly written cleo (there a LOT of them around), and unistalled cleo.

The problem was still there.

So I found myself staring at the installed asi's. Tried without skygfx, no luck. Finally I went through a trial and error system and all the evidence pointed against ped_spec.asi.

For the next five minutes after my conclusion, I was like

Well... maybe there is hope. Hero already said he will update his renderware file converter, and if it can convert mobile dff's properly, ped_spec.asi will not be needed anymore for mobile fingered models.
