Sad to see this thread get ruined. Is the project complete? Might try it out one day.

It wasn't a single project.. everything that was and most likely can be done is for download on the first page.

 

Oh. Well then I think this thread should be locked to prevent anymore spam.

 

And what happens if someone converts something else from Mobile that we haven't seen before? Then they can't share it because the thread is locked.

Hey, I wanted to report some bug.

 

I imported all the mods via modloader and I think it is caused by the 'fingers mod'.

1st: the torso doesn't really fit on the bottom

2nd: the problem (zoomed in)

3rd: you can see the bottom slip through the back of CJ

4th: it turned back to normal (don't know why...)

The Fingers Mod just replaces the hand model, which shouldn't affect the torso or anything else in any way.

EDIT: Actually, looking at the mod, it seems to replace all player.img files, but if it's just for fingers, I don't see why. Try removing the fingers mod (replace player.img with original) and just replace hands.dff next time, see if that fixes it.

Read trough the whole thread, phew, took some time. Anyways, OnT, just wondering, and it may be a stupid question, but has the Mobile version of the game been released on windows store (pc)? I mean like officially and not like, "not avaliable for download", or something. Also, any progress in the colorcycle.dat?

Hey guys, if you wish, I can try to port pedestrians from iOS. :)

 

just make sure they aren't going to be a buggy mess. I think there are 2-3 mods out there but the rigging was buggy as hell, which makes the old models look better, ironically. I would have done it myself, but the laziness got ahead of me

Here are the converted models, I only converted mostly the main characters & mission givers, such as Sweet, Ryder.

I noticed :r*: / War Drum Studios still used the red under shirt emmet for cutscene & white under shirt emmet for gameplay. If you know what I'm trying to say...

Kendl is still using her beta model for High Stakes, Low rider. After 10 years though...

Something interesting, I noticed the trees and palms are a more green in mobile, so I take a look at the textures. The mobile ones are 512x512.

 

What is the texture name?

 

Also, Weapon HUD Icons are really amazing:

I've been having issues with glitched out radar parts & parts of the map being out of place. I'm too assume this is because SPARK doesn't properly replace files in the correct spot/order. Albeit it has complete lack of a replace feature.

 

Two questions I have @OP.

1. Why do all of the weapon HUD icons have a pinkish/redish tint to them?

2. Why haven't you installed these gta3.img based mods into one gta3.img and uploaded it?

I think it's quite absurd to assume anyone whom is modding their game with this kind of stuff has the know how to know where the files go and/or have the time/patience to even put them all in individually using IMGTOOL like I've found myself doing to get around the issue mentioned above. F.Y.I. I have to do it once again because the Fixed Vehicles Mod (another mod where you have to put the files in individually) kept crashing my game when I went near a maverick. So I've reinstalled the game.

1- They are like that on mobile for some reason, this guy fixed them.

2- Im assuming you're new to SA modding. Changing stuff in gta3.img is a thing of the past, everyone now uses ModLoader, you can mod your game without touching any files.

The weapon icons for San Andreas was only pink/purple-ish under the iPhone compression, for some reason, but if you had the Android version and grabbed the DXT, they were the grey colour they were everywhere else, no editing required, just no one has decided to export those versions, which is funny because with a little adjustment, you could export the DXT versions and easily re-pack them as TXD without any quality loss.

Just grab the dds textures from android and use DDS2TXD to create the txd files, or just upload the dds files here. I would do it myself but my phone is a piece of cr4p that can't even run flappy bird at 15 fps.

He probably means dds2txd which isn't unreleased nor made by us ;)

They're still pink-ish, look's like R* really messed them up on both IOS and Android. Just use the ones uokka edited until Ash uses his hedgehog powers to convert then without quality loss.

Here's the difference between them:

Still some slight colour yes, but closer to how it is in San Andreas, though if you wanted to re-colour them, it would be best to use the PVR canvas and then any image editing program to change it, to get it as close as possible I'd probably base the colour from the PS2 version BMP's instead of the already compressed PC versions, and then export those to DXT-3 DDS files, and then yes, use DDS2TXD (made by _DK) to compile the TXD's properly. :) If someone will do that though I don't know, I might do it, I don't play San Andreas much on PC anymore outside of testing Silent's stuff or digging around for textures and names. :p

IIRC, I used SA's default bright gray RGB to recolor them.
