Thank you based god _DK, you are amazing

 

EDIT: Played some sa-mp, every player is casting a shadow, and no crashes when a player dies. Simply incredible!

This is amazing i never though player shadows would ever work on SA:MP, you my friend deserve a cookie :cookie: .

By the way is it possible to make the shadows show up on any surface?

Another update of Shadows Settings Extender is available.

-Fixed 0x749B7B crash-Fixed problem when SAMP displays only one ped shadow in a scene (see MoreThanOnePlayer parameter)

Ok, I got grass and shadows working together at least. Just had to enable SA:MP fixer on the loading screen.

 

In the next update if there is one, can we have some AA or filtering for the shadows because they look a little blocky, and shadow casting on every surface.

They look blocky because the resolution is low. Increase the raster size in the ini to increase the resolution.

dynamic shadows look pixelated if you have the option to make them blend with stencil shadows enabled. They look better with that disabled but they won't blend in nicely and will look weird sometimes (you can see your player shadow being darker than the vehicle shadow when you get on a vehicle for example)

Increasing raster size by 1 made my game unplayable with about 3fps.

 

And Johnny, yeah I agree.

 

I found a good mix though, stencil shadows colour A=100 and realtime shadows colour A=100.

If you look closer to files, values that have same distance to center are closer/same. (if you except last value)

 

i.e. first line

 

2.124 0.000 0.000 -0.007 0.000 2.124 0.000 -0.007 0.000 0.000 2.124 -0.007

 

same colored values are same. (currently i think one side is dynamic objects other one is static objects, so what is the blue one?)

 

I've tried every possibility via ENB shaders. That values just doesn't mean anything. I was able to get same mobile/ps2 feel in 7.a.m.(intro) via editing screenshot but I had to decrease gamma and brightness. But values in 7.a.m are (doesn't matter sunny or extra sunny)

 

1.890 0.000 0.000 0.015 0.000 1.888 0.000 0.005 0.000 0.000 1.942 -0.001

 

There is only one minus value and it's last one, and IT'S -0.001

 

So I don't know anything.

Try to edit them to big values, like 10 or 20. Parametrs looks like in MP3/V timecycle, and they are assigned to hours (SA uses 12 slots of hours, MP3/V seems to have the same).

But both timecyc and colorcycle have 184 lines.

vector dot products for red, green and blue respectively, as seen in the shader embedded in the .so

DK's made a plugin for 3DSMAX https://www.sendspace.com/file/gfok3p

 

We now can have mobile DFF's (hopefully)

 

I'm not dff modder, so I'll leave the works for you guys.

 

Besides cutscenes characters with fingers, I think there's some fixed prelight models too on mobile.

 

by the way... any news on colorcyle research?

I know this is the complete opposite of what this topic is about but is there anyone out there who is capable of adding the 3d grass to the android version of San Andreas? Like possibly a modded gta_sa.set file or a Cleo mod. I really want to see the dynamic grass on the mobile version. It can't be too difficult for phones to render. The real time reflections seem more resource hungry than grass.
