It is nice _DK made it possible to disable palms and buildings shadows because they look f*cking ugly.

I already did. That's why I said: It is nice _DK made it possible to disable palms and buildings shadows.

Got it to work on SA-MP. Unfortunately SA-MP is a buggy piece of SHlT and the game crashes as soon as there's more than 1 dynamic shadow rendered (so if there are 2 peds/players, game crashes) and as you can guess, my game crashed as soon as I got out of the helicopter.

Well that's the point of the video.. isn't it? He's wants to show the shadows off, even when the player is doing different animations.

The issue I talked about with SA-MP is not DK's fault. SA-MP will crash with ped shadows enabled even when not using DK's Shadow Extender. I was only showing the shadows work in SA-MP (unstable though)

Ah I see. I got it :^:

 

 

EDIT

The window disappearing can be fixed but only by editing the .dff and txd file.

I have uploaded an example, the left front window is the modified one by me, the rest of the original alpha has been disappeared

Update for Shadows Extender is available.

 

-Removed LOD details on shadow-Improved heli rotors shadow-Fixed cutscene vehicle shadows-Added an option to regulate shadow Z distance limit-Added some other options-Added SAMP compability

Damn! you fixed SA-MP crashes! I mean.. it's not even caused by your mod, you're incredible!

 

though I don't wanna be a party pooper but player shadows in SA-MP don't render like in singleplayer, as in, if you see 10 players in SA-MP, it won't be like seeing 10 peds in the singleplayer game (only 1 shadow will render) is this a bug on my end?

Without the Extender, shadows would appear normally so I don't really know off-hand what the problem is. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this?

I have a bunch of mods and it works fine for me.

Maybe try to delete gta_set.dat i Documents directory?

If that will not help, PM me so we can discuss that offboard :D

You no longer need samp fixer to enable shadows in SA-MP, DK made it so they are enabled by default if you have Shadow Extender loaded

 

EDIT: OK. I have kinda figured out why SA-MP still crashes, it has to do with what the game does when a ped shadow is "destroyed"

 

ped shadows in sa-mp are buggy, it seems there can only be 1 at a time so if you have a ped shadow on yourself, but another player spawns, he gets that shadow and yours disappears.

 

some servers just make the player disappear when that player dies, rather than make the player/ped go thru the death animation, they just disappear. Now, what do you think happens to the game when a ped, a ped casting a shadow, suddenly disappears out of no where? (player is killed, teleported, kicked from the server) the game crashes.

 

EDIT 2: made a vid

 

 

 

The video stops right there because my game crashed. As I explained before, the server this was recorded is coded in a way that makes players bodies disappear instead of making them go thru death animations, although not every server does this, you can get the same effect (game crash) when a player teleports (many servers have commands that teleport players to other locations in the map) or when a player gets kicked/banned (their "ped" disappears) the game crashes because it doesn't know what to do when a ped shadows disappears like that.

Ah but I need it for grass, even with SA:MP fixer shadow unticked. I can't use both which is unfortunate for me :(

Realize how the colorcycle.dat only appears in the iPhone 5 series?

 

I have an iPhone 4 but I think I'll change it soon (to another iPhone), it depends on my parents if they can let me, I just want one which can play SA, so is the 4s any good?

 

EDIT: why is my post all white like this?

 

get the galaxy s3 the price has fallen high support for this model it should run really smoothly and its better than the 4s

That is when the Visual FX is on Low but I have my game set on Very High for other visuals like explosions and smoke.
