awesome thread you have here..! this game deserves it.!

 

i havent played the game much cause i want to add a modified main.scm i used on pc version jeje...

 

but when i installed the game on the phone, i couldnt find the files to replace... so i did some google and find this place... and read the files were located in the setup apk...

 

how can i replace them? or still no possible?

Animations files for PC work perfectly on Android. I dont know how to make images with CJ walking, so please someone can tell me how to make images ingame (with CJ walking)?. I used some of TBoGT and IV animations combined. It work perfectly, so IFP files (anims) for pc are working in game. I use v1.0 of game for android. Also an edited cargrp.dat is working too.

APK Editing Tutorial - Updated (1.02)

This allows you to edit files that are located in APK. This includes main.scm, script.img and many other files. Let's start!

Phone:

1. Go to \sdcard\Android\obb\ and rename "com.rockstargames.gtasa" to "com.rockstargames.gtasa123"

Go to \sdcard\Android\data\ and rename "com.rockstargames.gtasa" to "com.rockstargames.gtasa123"

2. Uninstall GTA San Andreas

3. Go to \sdcard\Android\obb\ and rename "com.rockstargames.gtasa123" to "com.rockstargames.gtasa"

Go to \sdcard\Android\data\ and rename "com.rockstargames.gtasa123" to "com.rockstargames.gtasa"

PC:

4. Download required tools and extract .ZIP archive using WinRAR or similar program.

5. Rename "GTA San Andreas.APK" to "GTASA.APK" and put it in newly created Edit APK folder.

6. Run Edit.BAT. Problems? Try this.

7. It will say "Finished". New folder named "gtasa" is created.

8. Go to \gtasa\assets\ and open assets.zip.mp3 using WinRAR or similar program.

9. Extract all files to temporary folder and delete assets.zip.mp3

10. Open assetfile.txt using Notepad and change the following lines

31assetfile.txtassets.zip.mp3

to

30assetfile.txt

Save and exit.

11. Return to CMD window and press Enter. It will rebuild APK. GTASA_MODDED.APK is created.

12. Drag and drop GTASA_MODDED.APK into APK Signer and press Sign. GTASA_MODDED-signed.APK is created.

13. Transfer files from temporary folder to \sdcard\Android\data\com.rockstargames.gtasa\files\

14. Transfer GTASA_MODDED-signed.APK to phone.

Phone:

15. Install modded APK.

You can't. That feature is reserved for the Steve Jobs Master Race. Only iOS can handle such a feature, our Android devices would simply explode if we had the ability to play custom tracks.

Hey, did anyone manage to edit savegame files? It seems to have a little offset, but everything looks kinda like PC version, nothing that would be too hard to adapt on what we currently have, I guess.

Don't know how to do that, though =(

You can add songs. It would require adding a couple of files and repackaging the .idx file. How easy it'll be depends on whether you want to add your own songs or the deleted songs

how to install car mods in android version？i've replaced dff file,but when i looked into gta3.txd with txdf*ck,i've found that textures are deperated into pieces.......so how to replace txd file?

That'll be slow as molasses as it has to emulate an ARM processor.

 

Anyway, I got my scooter mod to work with textures on, it's just the matter of removing the unused skateboard textures off the texdb archives to give way to the vehicle texture. Then again I'm still itching for the texture limit patch, or basically some other way to load textures from some other file rather than to muck around with the binaries.

I seen something interesting in Android version.

I stolen a Stratum and the radio was MIXTAPE. I changed the radio a few times and it disappeared. At infos, the least favourite radio was MIXTAPE. The radio is enabled but you cant use it. Only with a script you can fix it
