iOS version has unicode strings, so each character uses 2 bytes in memory. Same valid for the .gxt files.

And how is the development of txdf*cker?

 

juggui is testing and as I can see on the screens, it works.

 

I'm planning to release TXDf*cker after android version.

if it'll work fine on iOS there might be a 'night' build earlier.

I got too the new TXDf*cker sa iOS version by nick7 and I don't have any problems,

maybe I will release in the next time some screenshots.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Can you provide some insight into all these 0xC0DE (that 'code' probably isn't a coincidence, is it?) tags/ header/ prefix/ suffix/s that have been attached to most of the values or data sets? I'm trying to figure out a way to clearly document these C0DEs without doubling the length of the page, and make it as easy as possible to calculate offsets.

So, yeah, in a daft way, it would have also slightly increased the file size on some tracks, whilst still losing quality. And not to forget that MP3, as a codec, is just terrible and outdated for lower bitrates, most people wouldn't go under 128kbps MP3 for Music as it just becomes unaccepatble, 64kbps is the limit that MP3 is suppose to have for music, anything lower was designed for talk only. Not to completely crap on MP3, it's great in the high bitrates, using -V0 VBR 320kbps for Music it does a damn good job, but for lower bitrates, it's terrible, WMA is better, AAC/MP4/M4A is better and of course, OGG is better, which again swings back round to the initial point that the game already supported OGG. And as far as I'm aware, most Android devices support OGG as do most phones in general, iTunes blocks the format out but apps can include it to be used.

The game engine supports Ogg Vorbis, but can you get hardware acceleration for Ogg Vorbis on iOS? It may not be that compute heavy to decode, but they probably still wanted to save the CPU cycles and maximize battery life. AAC would be best from a quality and hardware acceleration perspective, but the engine probably doesn't support it without work. So that leaves MP3. It doesn't excuse the poor conversion technique though.

- program can determine the game, but you can force game 'Options -> Game';
- SA supports compression, it can be enabled by 'Options -> Pack texture Data';

edit: Also various other control styles, has anyone tried hooking a controller up to this, do you get an option of which button layout you'd like?

i think he means gta3.txt its what u load then that will load the .pvr file, it just helps it sort the texture out better

Which files? There's a lot of files that are seemingly from the iFruit app that specify 360 and PS3.

Ill probably get torn apart for this request but here it goes. Is there a way to remove all audio files containing vocals or voices? I like this game, but I always play it muted because I don't like the language. I would like to remove (if possible) the files containing vocals. Also, if the audio files are audacity compatible, I wouldn't be against removing the bad offensive language.

I am aware this is a game centered around violence and murder and theft, but I still enjoy playing through the missions. I can just skip over the cut scenes, thats no problem, but I would like to be able to drive around and be able to hear the traffic and guns and everything.

 

request two. I've read through this thread, can someone point me towards how I can do car mods? It was super easy for gta3 on iOS, it is not apparent to me if it is also easy in this version. Thanks guys!

Okay, i need to know is it possible to replace a ped texture that only contains one image file with a .txd that contains multiple image files? Because when i try it won't load....and still most vehicle mods wont load but ped mods are working now alot better just need proper textures :/

That first request would be tricky as you're deleting select audio files, but a lot of them. Compared to 3, San Andreas would be much more difficult as the peds are more vocal as well as CJ when he crashes, shoots and responds to people. Someone would be spending a good part of a day removing stuff that makes the game feel more alive.

If you're trying to add in an already existing mod, use TXDf*cker. I'm not 100% on how the rest works.

I'd be willing to do the work if I knew where to look. and honestly, I'd be fine removing all the vocals, they don't add much to me. If they are in some file mixed with all the other audio clips, that would suck to sort thru, but If they were somewhat secluded and I could just remove them, I would be fine with that. I am afraid if I just simply removed then that it would cause game crashes. plus I do not know where to find them. Like I said, I play it on mute right now anyway.

Same problem trying to add car textures, the game just crashes before i even reach the main menu. Still trying though..
