GTA San Andreas Mobile Modding

The only things i have worked out is

 

-Replace .dff in gta.img (game/car works without texture)

-importing textures via txdf*cker in gta.txt with all files in gta3 folder(causes crash)

 

i have tried 3 cars and all do the exact same - i import textures the same name as the in txd.. after import and transfer game just hangs after offline social page..

any one can give me a qlu step by step how to replace car?

i've just replaced greenwood with another car the same name with imagetools that the size just 306kb the i place gta3.img at folder sdcard/android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files/texdb/here...

i import txd file too with txdf*cker (edit txd.txt and import all images) to folder sdcard/android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files/texdb/txd, but when i push offline button at first mainscene force closed again...

is that correct or texture car in gta3 folder not at txd folder?

i tried to move txd folder from texdb folder (sdcard/android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files/texdb/) with gta3.img still in texdb folder, it succes to load the game but at the game car that was i replaced (greenwood/standby at CJ house at first mission) is missing? what was i missed?

help me please,,, thanks

 

Texture limit. You need to remove/delete some textures before you can add new ones.

so if i just say with my rx-7 which is zr350 model.. i search the original textures within gta.txt and delete the old ones which i find is only two textures and import the new ones?

naruto.. the textures youre saying, they go into gta.txt (gta3 folder, you need to extract both gta3 folders from .obb files and put them together).

 

and as markuza said, theres a limit texture, so the number of textures you import, the same number of textures you remove...

it's possible to add some space for new textures.

 

1) 'Tools' -> 'Cache Optimizer...'

2) select "Create aliases for raster data duplicates"

3) i think MD5-based with "comparsion value"=5 should be enough.

4) Click "optimize".

it should decrease total texture count by 8-10 textures.

 

additionally, you can try to remove name duplicates:

1) 'Tools' -> 'Cache Optimizer...'

2) select "Create aliases for name duplicates"

3) Click "optimize".

afaik it should decrease total texture count by 1 or 2 textures

 

Real (original) textures count can be seen in 'Tools' -> 'Information...'

Hello everybody, I've been following this post for a while now, I recently just got the game and I don't know how to mod, but I am willing to learn how to try. Besides that, I was wondering if it was possible to put mods from the PC to the game. Like an BETA mod, beta peds, features, and other such.

Someone tried to run San Andreas on Bluestacks? For me, game stops on loading screen.

I tried.

1.0 - download failed because the resources could not be found

1.02 version crashes on beginning of loading files.

1.03 version crashes when I click offline.

can someone help me? it appears the radio is jacked up in this game... it begin with radio x, the almost all station is messed up, dont have any song, just commercial voice... what do i do???

im trying to install the gta unlocked/opened up mod, but i cant find the script.img or the main scm files?

where are theses files located, so i could replace them? is the pc main.scm and script.img compatible with the mobile ones? :/

sry, its been a REALLY long time, and i kinda forgot the modding guides and terms in gta sa. just started again with the mobile release.

Has anyone tried something to improve the performance?, I have a GS3 (AT&T, the one with the adreno 225) and it has very poor perfomance (I'm using the 1.0.2 version btw, the 1.0.3 gives me a black screen), I tried using the gta3.pvr.dat files instead of the dxt ones adreno uses, and it improved a little bit, but it's still laggy, even with all the resolution down to 0%, I had the same problems with Vice City.

script and main are into the gtasa.apk file, i tried to replace some for pc version but they didnt work... : S

 

but cleo scripts were released days ago.. i can tell they work great...! awesome work..!

Hey man how did you get detailed radar mod to work? Can you please point me to where to put the files? I just can then it to work. Many thanks.

Theirs one subject everyone shys away from speaking about in this thread. And thats anything to do with the .set file. Can nobody suss it out?.

 

I mean people are keen on adding cars to this game while forgetting we still have mongy shadows (iOS). Unless u have the ipad air then theirs no vehicle shadows. So if your riding a bike theirs just a really stupid looking character shadow floating about. Looks ridiculous. Just swapping .set files from ipad air doesn't work aswel.

 

Also whats the point adding vehicles if theirs a really annoying bug that makes them bounce up and down under acceleration.

 

Surely these things are what the modders of this forum need to tackle first???

Yeah, but perhaps it would be a lot more painless if we hack the texture archive limit. 10 extra texture slots seems ample for a mod or two, though things would be 'swell for us if that limit is removed altogether.

actually i've looked into executable and i think limit related to tmb file. i need to check it.

You probably did something wrong, remember that you can't modify the .obb files.
