dont know why, but my game lags when I see my modded car (I only have 1 mod car btw) its a scion frs rocket bunny mod and I only replaced the dff models. anyone tell me whats causing the lag and landscape texture change?

yeah its because the car mod/dff is to big anything ova about 3.5 will lag the bigger the mod the more it will lag, doesnt always mean to many polygons i think its just designed not to access all of the phones meamory or all of its power but i dunno something needs to be done, if someones figures how to get rid of the texture limit then maybe somoeone could create a gta sa conver or atleast a method for shrinking a dff even shrinking it from 5mb to 4mb would be a huge performance increase :)

Black image that is 128% transparent doesn't work.

I got an idea, I will update this post later.

Yeah, wondering if it's a game handles it this way or it's a TXDF-r issue.

Some car mods are made with high-end PCs in mind, which would definitely lag on a mobile GPU/SoC. It would be a lot more prudent if you check the poly counts on the vehicles first before trying them out on your device.

omgs you is my savior. nows i gots one question. how does you make the pc vice city radio work on android cause i did the adf2mp3 convertion and just no music plays

So ive finally managed to get the player mods working

sweet ryder and smoke are changed at first change textures were really dark so i put up brightness and contrast on each png hence why they look washed now(cutscene pik)

i still can not replace car's... can someone please link me a car mod that actually works so i can figure out what i am doing wrong or maybe once i replace a working mod i can try and do others again? please?.... any car that i can find easily... anyone>?

Amazing. You can host it on an external server, like MEGA, no need to use your own :).

i just downloaded the files from nick7's link :) not from the torrent

 

edit : i just saw that the files i have are not all of them. starting torrent but it says 1 seeder and doesn't begin the download :(

yeah you just replace and start the game. But i think that you should download the torrent as the other link says "part of files"

There's a hard limit on the amount of textures that you can add on the texdb archives. Going over 12444 textures will cause the game to crash, so it's either that we better wait for someone to crack that restriction, or work around it somewhat by deleting some unused assets like the skateboard files.

so i guess its a waiting game till the limit is cracked... :( really wanted to test some car's in game... ow well ill still try modding player skins and smaller stuff but if anyone has any cars working would you send a link over >? but if not suppose ill be happy with the missing tracks replaced back by nick7 :D awesome job guys still....

its a pain to uncompress then recompress obb files that saying at the end if they even work?.. i tried to do the same with gta 3 and vc but extracting and modding will just acure in a crash, so i just stuck with the files that came with v1.0 its already extracted and replaceing player mods (txd's) work for me now with ease... still havent got a clue for car mods yet but hopefully soon we can replace them too..

i tried to download the version 1 game but for some reason it didnt see the files in the data folder and just went on with xapk verification failed and downloading goes on forever :( so i went back to te only version which seems to work on my galaxy s3 mini - 1.0.2

You are doing something wrong. Mods work just fine on Android.

Custom files go to \sdcard\Android\data\com.rockstargames.gtasa\files\

It's sdcard, not sdcard1.

what i dont understand about modding via obb files

soo is it like this i have my original game obb file with patch in \sdcard\Android\obb\com.rockstargames.gtasa\

(internal storage sdcard) then when i do mods do i just copy entire game as data folders and such into \sdcard\Android\data\com.rockstargames.gtasa\files\

?

 

or for player mods just the textdb/gta3/ ... folder with files? and not the entire game?? i do not understand :(

dont touch the obb files...!

 

each modified file goes in its own/original folder..

 

example... modified gta3.img:

 

sdcard/android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files/texdb/gta3.img

 

in this case you need to add a new folder named 'texdb"

Understood and tested too... works great.. with the playermods thankyou

next will try some cars.. i can not seem to find a small texture car every car i get has more then one texture and some are extra large then the original and would i have to replace da .dff inside gta3.img? if it is small enuff...

 

at some angles the texture becomes darker then others

Thanks. All we need to do is copy the data folder right? Either I did it wrong or I just haven't seen it yet

 

Edit: I copied the textdb folder on the files folder in /android/data/gta and the gta3.img folder inside the textdb folder and I get forced close upon loading my save. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm a noob at Modding especially the Android version. I'm running 1.03 version btw.

Now that the Android version is out, probably should update the first post with the fact that any modifications should go in "/internal SD/Android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files" and under no circumstances should they delete or modify OBB files. Otherwise, there's going to be quite a few confused noobs coming in here and posting "OMG f*ck ROCKSTAR BROKE MY GAME".

 

 

 

Anyone else have that bouncing cars issue while driving? Looks really weird.

I saw videos with such bug , thats definitely touch sensitivity issue .

 

Just seen some flying semi-trailers in Willofield.

 

Also, the player position doesn't seem to appear on the map for me.

 

EDIT: Fun fact, there's a lot of stuff for the iFruit app in the SA APK.

Got confused at first when I saw that in the OP... I only saw saves and a couple of settings files and was like "How am I supposed to do mods with only these?_?" :3

 

I'm going to try and make my own controller configurations to match those on PS2 and Xbox, unless someone has already made that.

What about the textures fix in Mali GPUs?

That's very easy! Extract two .obb to Android/data/com.rockstargames.gtasa/files/ go to texdb folder, remove all files in subdirectories with etc name and change name dxt to etc.
