But once the depression hit, we couldn't store everything we wanted anymore, so we had to limit ourselves to chrome Adders and Entities...

No more Space Docker. It was patched by R* a while ago. No one has it anymore, you can't store it in your garage.

I don't think they will patch simple stats, but when a tank can drive as fast as an Adder they may. There are a ton of weapon mods i think they will target first and i seen some top modders redo their mods as soon as they are patched they are redone and re-released the same day as the patch.

 

 

Does this forum use Spoiler buttons? if so how is it done? have a huge post i want to make but place in a hidden tab to help those in mobile devices...

Here is my latest... ALL ALLOY Vaca with a hint of Lime...

 

Pary I am not familiar with hex editing within the save editor, however I have done hex exiting in the past with making modded gametypes in Halo 4. Personally I can follow a video better than a text document, however I am smart enough to understand advanced instructions via text. I could mod gamesaves alongside you, and have my friend who brings in vehicles do the SP-MP for me.

Its really easy... its tedious because there are extra steps along with the game save editor you have to do to extract all the info to do the edits to then put them back in save editor to then inject back to your game save.

 

Initially i only cared about the paint codes and thier locations and only mapped them out i didn't do the upgrades and other parts, but i will show you a quick and easy way to find them all and help you with your builds. I'm excited for you serious Frankenstein builders to see what you come up with. I don't have the patience to test various codes and ideas, but i know alot of you will and cant wait to see what comes of it.

 

in a nutshell... since you guys can mod cars and are familiar with the Game Save editor i can skip a whole lot of the early steps...

 

 

 

 

I recommend giving each car a custom name license plate. Makes it easier to locate in the PSIN block when you extract it from the game save editor as pictured below my Adder is ALLOY

 

 

 

After you have your cars in the 4 car garage you want to deal with click Save. Then at the bottom of the menu select BLOCK on the menu to the left in the game save editor and highlight the last option on the right PSIN and click extract.

 

You will have a file PSIN.GTAVB this needs to be opened in your hex editor. I will be using HxD Editor.

 

It will look like this next screen. The dialog box on the right is my search box, it was opened by hitting CTRL+F. To search for license plates you need to use [Text-String] to search for a hex code you will use [Hex-values]

 

After hitting Okay on the search you will come to where your License plate value is.

It will be highlighted on both the left and the right. You can change your plate at this point again, just need to do it on the right hand side not in the hex unless you know what the letters are.

 

 

Picture is bad, but i will explain this screen.

 

Black outline is the hex area for this car - the Adder

The Green is the hex area for the license plate 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

The Red is for the Car colors. its in 3 blocks of 4, 00 00 00 9C is the 1st color 00 00 00 9C is the second color and the third block is 00 00 00 00 is the pearlecent.

The Wheel color is Blue 00 00 00 57

The car itself is in Purple 00 00 00 00

 

The hex blocks that are in bold are the only values that are changed.

 

The values in between the the wheel code and the car code are all the different places for the parts and their upgrades. I did not document them all as i can see what i want in the regular editor or at actual LSC in game. I have only been using the Hex editor to use some paint codes that were not available for wheels or the car via the menu in the program. This is where those wanting to Frankenstein cars can benefit from this area. I tried seeing if i could pull the hex from a Merc Mesa for the cage and place on a regular Mesa. It simply did not show up. I think some of that info lies in the vehicle.meta file leaving it to be an ISO mod. I may be wrong. Some vehicles have body codes that may show something that is not available via the LSC menu in game.

 

If you want to start mapping out the parts areas in hex your going to need 2 PSIN.GTAVB files with a slight change. here is an example. I went back to the Game save and changed the Wheels to find the hex location. Here are my 2 files:

 

To import them in HxD Editor you have to Select Analysis -> File Compare - Compare

 

you will load the two files and click okay:

 

It will show you what your original file was and where you made the change in Wheel type and what that value was. I went from a Stock Sport wheel to a Stock Split Six. - This is how you can map out where the part locations are and what thier values are.

 

After you are done editing Save this file and then you will need to import that PSIN file back to your game save.

 

Go back to your game save editor to import the file after you saved it in your hex editor. Instead of selectig Extract you will now select Replace and navigate to the PSIN file you extracted to import it

 

After you import it back to your game save, Save it in Your game save editor.

 

you can now inject that file back to your thumb drive and insert into your xbox>

 

NOTE:

Things to be aware of.

+ I have noticed when trying to edit a car i was in the code locations are different than that of the garages.

+ Colors you edit that are not in that menu like Kifflom 9D will show in game although they don't reflect in the editor.

What! yeah.. i agree... that was my next trial thinking taking that color off i could make a clean voodoo... they are just the matte colors...

 

I did confirm some R* sneaky ness. The have a few cars in the game where they put non Wheel colors on a cars like i did with the Alloy on regular paint and they used Matte paint as a Pearlecent. I found this Buccaneer while looking for gang cars in cypress flats, but never thought to search for it in SP so i can look at the paint scheme. Tonight i went on the hunt in SP and found one to see what the paint scheme was. This one pictured i found online... its has Matte 1st paint with a Matte "pearlecent"... I'll have to get a picture of the SP one which is still as i found it in Vinewood garage.

 

Only thing i changed was the Wheels but the color is Feltzer brown that is not available in the LSC menu options.

 

I made this one trying to replicate the top color but i was off in the 1st Paint and the pearlecent colors they used...

 

Here is another car i found with a Matte on Matte paint job, but this one is in my online garage. Looking for one in SP to see what paints they used. Red Peyote on the right.

yea theres cars that spawn with unobtainable colors all over in SP. i had a matte tealish Oracle (old one, not new one you can buy) for a while in SP, it was the matte teal with some kind of pearl coat that made it look like a satin paint scheme.
