FRANKLIN'S DAMN BUFFALO

 

For the zillions of requests I have seen for this car, there is a way YOU can do this yourself in 5 minutes. I know, I just did it.

 

In SP, play Franklin. Mod his car any way you like and save it. Go online in an invite only session and follow Alien Oh G's SP to MP glitch. But instead of being Michael, be Franklin and use his car that you have previously modified.

 

Viola! You now have Franklin's damn buffalo and with his license plate. This also goes for other SP character's cars. So easy, a Sith Lord can do it.

 

Note: I do understand that not everybody has played SP much if at all and that sometimes there are special requests for custom license plates or colors that can only be accessed through the save editor. That's fine. But I thought I would put this up as a reminder to the many requests for regular vehicles without this specific criteria. It's also an easy way to make 129k as that is what a fully upgraded Franklin buffalo sells for.

 

In other news, I have begun venturing into Hex editing. HUGE thanks to Pary for his detailed tutorial and list of colors. Whilst fumbling about in the code continuum, I noticed the name "comet2". This leads me to believe that there must exist a "comet1", perhaps with no spoiler?

 

Anywho, hopefully something radically different will be discovered. Either through the community at large or, dare I whisper it, Rockstar DLC?

There's an easier method that doesn't require a lag switch. You use the LSC options glitch and it'll only work for vehicles that can be driven into LSC but it's still very helpful***. I'll explain it since I couldn't find any videos on it.

-Go Online

-Make sure your spawn setting is set to 'last location'

-Grab any car off the street and drive it into LSC

-Choose the sell option but don't sell the car.

-Go to the game store and wait for it to load

-Disconnect ethernet once loaded, press A and let single player load

-Drive the desired car into the same LSC and back out

-Go into an invite only session while remaining inside the vehicle and in the parking lot of LSC

-You should spawn at LSC and the car should be in the same spot as it was in single player

 

And remember to drive the car in and out of your garage first before modding it if you want to keep the plates

 

***Turns out that it does work for vehicles that can't be driven into LSC. All you have to do is get a car off the street, drive into LSC and back out, then get in the vehicle you want and stay in it as you switch to multiplayer

Anyway, it can be done with ISO mods if you change the handling I believe. Not 100% sure how its done, but I had a friend who had a tank after they removed them using his method, and I believe it still works. I don't ISO mod, though, and RGH's have been blocked from GTA Online since the maintenance.

 

 

It can be done in the vehicles.meta file. Although the file is kinda bare there are a ton of script lines you can add to it to make it work for your vehicles in SP and MP/

I don't recall all the codes, but in that same file find a car you want to emulate and add that criteria to your vehicle you want to mod. Using Skylines files are good because they are already bypassed and saves you the hassle of trying to do that as well. I have an xkey on one of my Xbox's and the mods are insane....

I ended up changing the type from QUADBIKE to CAR for the blazers, and it worked.

<type>VEHICLE_TYPE_CAR</type> this is what is changed for police vehicles, to make them regular cars.

<plateType>VPT_BACK_PLATES</plateType>

<vehicleClass>VC_SUPER</vehicleClass> changing this allows for garage storage as a non high end car.

I ended up changing the type from QUADBIKE to CAR for the blazers, and it worked.

Trevor's does not have the customization options like the lifeguard one does, but it WOULD be able to be tracked and insured if this was used online by someone with an xkey. Too bad I can't do it online and store myself a nice trevor's atv. The one I have now sucks. :p

Couple little glitches i was toying around with.. Lights On when not in vehicle..

S/O to NickLiv was able to use your SP2MP to spawn the Cargo Plane online.. caused a little traffic jam. My favorite Sentinel driver was pissed he actually got out and started shooting at me.
