Amazing next gen engine revealed. GTA VI would look incredible on it

VGX revealed a new trailer for Tom Clancy's "The Divison". It runs on an amazing new engine called "Snowdrop". Now just imagine GTA VI utilizing it and holy crap would we be in for a treat. I would gladly go back to NYC for the next GTA game if it looked like this. Trailer link:

It reminds me of this GTA IV render:

Next gta will be released in 5 years, by that time ubisoft will have made new, more realistic graphics engine and R* will be bitching with it's snowdrop like engine.

It's easy to say "OMFG GTA 6 WOULD LOOK FRKIN SICK ON DIS ENGUNE" when you have absolutely no idea what you're regurgitating.

Keep in my mind that RAGE engine will evolve till the next GTA game.

So, You'd want to sacrifice all the good things about RAGE for some eye candy?

Silly billy..

I'm sure the next GTA will look like that artwork there with Niko in it, which by the way is awesome.

Just incredible, hard to believe it's real-time and not pre-rendered. Rockstar is going to have to get to work if they want RAGE to reach that level of detail.

RAGE is good as it is and will evolve.

GTA should not be heavily loaded rather optimum visually and enough for physics action.

Otherwise it will take over the quality and amount of content in the game.

It's also important to have big map + activities to do. This differentiates Division from GTA.

RAGE is beautiful and next gen consoles have the best at what we have now.

R* should just make a small VC sized map and load it with immense detail. Big, bland maps are boring.

i'm sure rockstar is coming up with something 5 times better than this in about two or three years time. and i can't wait to see it. only thing that makes me excited about ps4 and xbox one is what rockstar is going to do with them. i'm pretty sure they are already toying with them. even thinking of this excites me.

Finally, a game that looks next-gen. Most of the games they've been showing off so far just look like slightly improved PS3 games.

But nope, Rockstar wasted a lot of resources and manpower on making and improving the RAGE engine. They're not just gonna drop it for a third-party engine.

For the Division, this is amazing. Truly next gen. But rage would be literally ten times better than this. Rockstar cannot do GTA on a different engine.

I'm not saying Rockstar has to use Snowdrop. It just opens your eyes to the possibilities of GTA next gen.

Rockstar San Diego would likely just make a next gen version of the rage engine. Because Rockstar only seem to want to make games on their own engine. Well they did use havoc in the ps2 era but that is waaaay back.
