is the sentinel convertible "rare"?

i found a sentinel, not the xs, just plain sentinel, but it's a convertible hard top, it was the red top/white bottom paint job

 

i remember something about that car on here but can't remember if it was rare or not

well i just sold the one i had and i was driving around and found a primo, is that any rare?

 

 

i only ask because i only personally use 1 or 2 vehicles while playing so i have 8 empty spots that i'm filling with rare-ish vehicles so i can let people make copies of them

I would say yes it is somewhat rare. I don't think I have ever even seen one. At least not that I noticed. I usually at least hop in any new car I see just to see what it is.

Rare in online, found one finally after about 7 hours. Fairly common in single player however.

I really don't get spawning in this game, saw the Gallivanter today, with the distinctive triple side fin and realised that I hadn't seen it in over a week, and thats a good lot of hours play a day.

 

Sentinel is split, some people say rare, others say as common as muck. I change lobbys every half hour or so, I try following other players to see if it's level dependant, I cruise in the xs and every other car I own.

 

Still, I like the idea of certain cars being rare etc, will be an awesome ride once I have tracked it down anda matter of prestige...i people didn't dupe whatever they want. Instant gratification generation, what can you do?

 

Which reminds me, off topic, had someone round my garage the other day, they saw my Surfer asked me where I got it, so we went on an adventure together and tracked one down on the beach. This game is/would be so much fun if people actually PLAYED IT.

I think if you've had the vehicle at least once in your garage it's not as rare anymore. I used to never see them, as with more "rares", now I see them all the time. I also get Sultans, Intruders, Primos, Premiers, Staniers, and other "rare" vehicles always showing up in my games.

You're referring to the XS model, or at least that's how it sounds.

Let´s get one thing straight: can you change the top colour in any of the models? Or if you want to get a one colour car you have to try and match whatever the top is?

Its very rare for me. I know a lot of people who claim to see it all the time are confusing it with the Zion cabrio.

 

I've been playing since release and only seen it once.

It's only rare if you're looking for it.

 

When you're not looking for it it's everywhere.

If you're looking for something and you have a list of the most common spawn points (as you do, above), try them and if you have no luck within a couple of minutes then you probably won't have any luck within hours. Go to a new session from the start menu and look again. Rinse and repeat.

 

I did it to get the F620. I'd previously tried for hours to get it, but moving to a new session helped me get it within about 20 minutes.

It seems semi rare now. Back at the start, I saw 'em everywhere...which is cool its my real life car. But then R* emptied my garage and for the last month all I see is the XS. People who see "tons of them" are usually confusing it with the Cabrio.
