The Showroom: Declasse Tornado

All right let's not waste any more time because for this Showroom we're going to look over one of the most widely used car in the game. It seems like almost everybody that I have on my friends list on the PSN has at least owned this car or currently has it. That's right, I'm talking about the Declasse Tornado!

 

 

SA Design:

 

Background/Design

Ahh yes the Tornado there's not much to say about this car about its background because this is only its second appearance... first being in SA. Now when I first saw this car I immediately thought it was the Glendale lol they kinda look alike. The Tornado is based off the Chevy Bel Air and is quite a popular car within the GTAO community. People that love the classic look often have this in their garage and the same reason as to why I have it in my mine as well . This care is known for having a notoriously wide range of customization options and is the main reason as to why everyone ends up stealing one of these for their own persona vehicle. The Tornado is also one of the gang cars in GTA V, and can be seen parked near the Vagos and Ballas territory customized in their respected gang colours.

• Can be found ANYWHERE... LITERALLY.

Speed - 5.0

Now now before I get tackled for giving such an average score, I would just like to say to everyone to STOP DENYING IT. This car is SLOW and that's final, I don't care about what you say it's a slow car. BUT it's slow for a REASON. And that reason is because this car is used to cruise around, I mean with a design like this why would you want everyone to not see you?! I drive around in my Tornado slow enough so people around can see the beauty of it. On that if you do decide to take this car in a race... you're going to have a bad time... mainly because you'll end up twirling your right stick so much trying to get better angles admiring the crap out of this car.

 

Handling - 5.0

Yes the handling is good naturally, because of its slow nature but there's one thing I absolutely hate about this car and those are the BRAKES. It's awesome to cruise around and then BAM you hit a post because you underestimated its braking power leaving you with a dented hood . So my advice is don't upgrade the engine, just upgrade the brakes lol.

 

Overall Rating - 8.0

Yes I scored it really low for its performance but really high for overall rating because who doesn't love this car?! Honestly if you call yourself a car collector or overall car enthusiast you'll overlook the speed and performance for design ANY DAY. One if not the main reason for usually getting a car is for the DESIGN and that's about it. Performance and Speed only come as a BONUS. I wont expect everyone to agree with me on this but that's what this thread is for.

I'm not actually quite sure as well as to where the exact location is so I'm actually looking forward to this

There is a race called "In the Grove" that appears on the map.

That's the Grove Street roundabout and all Ballas vehicles spawn there or up the road.

 

If you continue up that street you'll be in CGF territory where gang green vehicles spawn, all the way up to where Franklin's house is in SP.

Ah so the ballas have finally taken over Grove street I see.

 

What about the Vagos? The last I heard from them in SA was up north near where michael lives... but I doubt they're still there now lol.

Its easy...but I screw it up the first time, they jumped off the cliff lol, bad thing, you cant mod it, so I got rid of it

i screw it up the first time too , but i did it by hitting the tornado one too many times with my sniper because for some odd reason i kept missin the driver so it blew up lol

This was one of the first ones I grabbed with Michael while doing the story missions. Didn't take a picture then but have finally got back around to playing with the Tornado online. Stayed with red.

 

This is pretty much like the car in Christine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_%281983_film%29 so I tried to get it looking a bit like that. I got the drop-top though.

Pic is a bit dark. I was trying to get the horror feel.
