That's exactly what it's meant to be. Why it got lumped into missions is beyond me.

 

Rockstar needs to either put LTS lobbies in with the deatmatch ones, or create an entirely new category for them. Competitive missions(Crooked Cop, Top Fun, etc.) also need their own category.

I agree, why isn't it considered a Deathmatch? I tried joining missions yesterday and got dragged into one of those ten times in a row.

To make it worse sometimes when you try to leave it'll launch and drag you along even if you already pressed quit.

I agree with op, and I'm sure many many many people feel the same way, this "game mode" needs to be re-categorized just like all the versus games like top fun, hippy hunting etc etc

Just to be clear, for my own edification, the mode that requires more patience, strategy and skill is the weaker one?

Write all the real missions and no 2 team missions down on paper, cut em all up and toss em in a hat... then proceed to draw them from the hat for your random mission.

I completely agree....but, I was put into the dirt bike vs Lazers last night and had an absolute f*cking blast.

I was on the dirt bike and drove that thing all over the f*cking place. Totally nutjob with the turns, jump over here, turn around, go the other way, climb that mountain, dead stop, alley to alley driving, whatever I could think of. Made it to the docks. Super fun.

 

Must have been pretty funny for my teammate to watch after he got taken out.

I lost count on how many times i backed out of LTS and R* created mission, sometime i don't get enough time to leave the lobby and have to quit it after it starts and get a bad sport warning.

Yep, sometimes it can be a literal twenty minute ordeal to find an actual quick MISSION, the stupid game just keeps putting you into empty LTS lobbies, which NOBODY plays or even WANTS to play, and with the constant loading in and out and in and out and in out you can spend a half hour just trying to get into a MISSION lobby with actual people. And by that time, you have to be lucky enough to get into a lobby with a host who actually knows they can manually START the mission, and everybody else just leaves, and the whole thing ends up being a disaster anyways.
