gta v online vs gta single player

Single player all the way.

Online's concept is good but it's execution is horrible. First off, it's boring. Plain and simple. Nothing but repetitive grind quests, something that GTA single player experiences have been criticized for and V's single player finally fixed. Yet here we go with Online, and they turn around and make it as repetitive as ever. Second, 16 players? Really? In order for this concept to work, it's going to need a lot more than that. It's going to need a map twice the size of the current map and with realistic scale, and a server capacity for upwards of 200 people. THEN the world of GTA will come alive in an persistent online world. This whole 16 player lobby crap is beyond weak. It feels like some kind of big map TDM with no objective or end in sight. At least GTA IV's online did it right where there was no persistence in penalties. You could kill and blow people up all day and it had no negative impact on you. In this you are restricted and thus it creates a trolling environment that is just miserable.

One day GTA Online will become fully fledged and turn into the grand system it was meant to be. Today is not that today, nor will tomorrow or the day after or the day after that etc. But single player at least does good at making you feel grounded in a believable world where consistency is in check.

To me both modes are really good but I have to lean towards online. I know some people think online is just filled with assholes but once you find a good group of people to play with and add them to your friend list it becomes a really fun experience.

its a 55% - 45% for online for me!

the only thing that make online 5% better is the human players, even know i would love to have more players online, 40-50 but i could settle with atleast 10-16 more players available online.

with 16 players max and a huge map players can get too scattered

Online is not as fun as it should have been, they f*cked up by treating it like WoW. Single player though pwns.

When will Cockstar learn that GTA dosen't revolve around online? It seems like they have forgotten what the game is all about.

Online.... Playing with people from all over the world is fun. Like my main mission buddy is this German chick who... we cant understand each other for the hell of it but we still seem to understand what we need to do and have fun while doing it. I also have these 2 french dudes as buddies too... same problem.. no communication but great to play with... its crazy how much "no no no! " or "yes yes yes " can get you

Single player was cool... really was... but yo Dark.... its kind of ironic because I thought the opposite of every other GTA.... sure the missions OBJECTIVES were pretty repeptitive..... as they are in Online mode... HOWEVER being so repetitive made them simple and thus allowed you to execute them however you see fit.

The Single player missions in GTA V Felt like scripted bullsh*t and I was now playing an uncharted game that is just filled with graphical "Awww sh*t" cut screens. I mean... the Vice city bank heist... you did that sh*t how you did that sh*t and thats how it went down.... there were small cutscenes but not really.... Lester practically holds your cock throughout the entire game on V.... "Oh look another scripted gun battle... or another scripted cutscene... ohh cool"

Thats not GTA... GTA is ... GO GET THE f*ckEN COKE AND BRING IT BACK TO ME.... I DONT CARE HOW IT GETS DONE

At least that's how it looks like to me, bunch of missing features and bugs still not fixed in singleplayer while all they talk about is GTA Online left and right for two months already. So far no news for singleplayer.

Even though I'm a traditionalist at large, I still play GTA:O now and again. I'm currently Rank 13 and want to reach 15 for survivals. That would mean grinding like a mofo, which not everybody has time for.

In terms of the SP:O ratio, I vote 67:33
Single player FTW

I prefer single player. Online has a great concept, but it should have been saved for the next gen and developed by a different section of Rockstar. As far as I'm concerned, GTA is about the single player and always has. Online is shallow and repetitive, and is better suited to racers and first person shooters. I'd take a fully fledged, awesome single player over online ANY DAY OF THE YEAR. But because of people who feel the need to have online for everything, single player games are going to be a thing of the past soon. Every game these days has it, and it is ruining gaming.

Honestly lol I'll state it like this.

both modes has its positives and negatives

SP

-Some of the Little Garages you can enter ( because the game lack interiors soooo much dammit. GTA4 WMU)

-NPC's

-Peds Spawn Properly

-Police Actually work sorta smarter now (there not sooooooo annoying as when it came out.)

-car lag [slow car/network glitch. i experienced this one night in my sultan and Exfinity, all cars move all a slow speed.]

-Car Spawn Properly.

-DETAIL.

-MORE CLOTHES

-ANIMALS

MP

-you get more locations to live. NOT TO MUCH TO SEE INSIDE TO CUSTOMIZE BUT U DO GET TEN VEHICLES. AND 3 BIKES.

-No player detail.

-no player originality.

-very bored.

Single player all the way.

Online, and they turn around and make it as repetitive as ever. Second, 16 players? Really? In order for this concept to work, it's going to need a lot more than that. It's going to need a map twice the size of the current map and with realistic scale, and a server capacity for upwards of 200 people. WELL SAID..

that select/quick inventory in sp would be sp useful tho. also expanding the map! Also calling lester and removing your wanted level.

To me rockstar just really was lazy throughout making this game... straight up to updating now, everything is always late. whenever we get a update its a bunch a sh*t.

I didn't play skyrim that long but during my time playing it there was tons of sh*t to do and I actually don't even play games like that but its the randomness and the amount of things to do in it that caught me..

For GTAO .... the o-so-overly-hyped GTAO, we should have a social club bar, internet cafes (like gta4), lifeivader building(s) [more should be open???], that Casino!!!, more corner shops... i see so many around the map and their just corner stores. To make all this dead easily, why isn't all this in SP??

In SINGLE PLAYER, you can't do heist anytime you want, and replaying missions won't help you gain money....

the amount of land Rockstar used for mountains, forest and deserts makes me wonder.

gta-5-in-game-43.jpg

627793_orig.png

I was looking forward to this....

And then it all hit me... EXPANSIONS. DLC. then i snapped out of it and realized its Rockstar, they took weeks to give player 250,000..

MANSIONS,HOUSES,GARAGES?? no interiors, no romance,no purchasing houses??? CJ had bitches and houses in Different Cities.NiKo Didn't but he had romance...

cmon rockstar. we waited years and years, push backs upon push backs

- I honestly was looking for a game you would of been able to discover banks and jewelry stores throughout this HUGE map and pull off heist. I thought that was how the other inexperienced crew members would gain stats.

its like we pay R* for un[finished] product, that they couldve easily put in the game (the leaked audio files).

AT the end I recently saw that playing SP is more fun, no glitches, no lags, MORE detail. Players interact and again theres animals.

GTAO is too restricting. What fun is it when just about everything has a penalty, whether that be blowing people up or simply joining an activity. Everything costs you money or reputation (i.e. Bad Sport Stat). Insufficient funds? May we direct you to the PS Store where you may purchase a Cash Card!

This is why I still play IV Multiplayer and I have not touched GTAO in weeks.

i like them both a lot, but single player was to short to me if you compare it to all the GTA's we are used to before.

online somehow makes up for that, but once you have everything you want it gets a bit boring to, doing the same missions over and over again.

so yesterday i started a new single player again, it's fun, cause I look at things differently now, the first time I did it very quick cause i wanted to know the rest of the story and i thought it would take weeks or months again to complete, like GTA SA and GTA IV,...

Online is a demo compared to single player. Basically, we're trading a better living world, for 15 boring idiots.
