what game is the best? i have 14$ in my bank and i want to buy one of these games on amazon i had vice city Stories for psp but my psp broke when it was half way through the story and i kinda just forgot about it and the scarface game i only just realized existed critics seem to give it mixed reviews and true crime nyc is a game i had years ago and never really gave it a fair crack tbh so in your honest opinion what is the better Choice?

The other two are decent games but i suggest getting VCS especially the PS2 version since it has more missions and slightly better graphics than the PSP version had , the empire system made me like the game more than the original VC which may sound like a shock but thats my opinion .

VCS. I personally didn't like Scarface that much and I've never even tried True Crime NY because Streets of LA sucked so much, IMO...

If you've already played Vice City then there's no real need to play VCS. It doesn't really add anything new. Scarface is really good. I expected it to be a crappy movie-licensed game but it turned out to be really good. It tied into the movie pretty well as an alternate ending. True Crime NYC isn't as good as the original. The story was worse aswell IMO.

 

So, I think you should get Scarface.

Yep. It's also one of those licensed games that pretty much prove that there is really no reason for licensed games to suck.

Vice City Stories IMO scarface was decent enough but i guess i just don't rate it as highly as some i always preferred the godfather tbh and true crime nyc has to be the weakest out of the 3 it had SO much potential to be a very good game but it was just so clunky and glitchy and the Driving was an Awful Experience.

 

1.Vcs - 8/10

2.scarface - 7/10

3.True Crime Nyc - 5.5/10

I think you're putting Scarface a little too high. Sure it was great, but it was practically one time game. It was cool to play as Tony, living his life, have henchmen waiting for your one word, but that doesn't change the fact that game isn't as appealing as it should be. City was rather small and empty, vehicle physics were a little broken and the game was rather short. This combined with quite high difficulty put me off rather succesfully. Technicals destroyed the atmosphere in the game.

 

VCS is quite opposite from the Scarface. Vic is worst than Tony and you won't have life to live, but whole technological aspect is much better. It's more pleasant to drive, city is more interesting and the game is longer. I've completed VCS around 3 times and I could probably do it again without any problems.

 

TC:NYC is good game, but unfortunately killed by bugs and terrible physics. I've completed it three times (once on PC and twice on PS2), but it needs a patience to do it. Also today the game feels just bad and empty.

 

 

I'd say get VCS.

That's one of the most unfortunate things about Scarface. I've always felt it would've been better as a 360/PS3 game.

I haven't played True Crime Streets of NY, but if it's anything like Streets of LA, it will get boring after you finish the story. Scarface I think you would like if you loved Vice City, and Vice City Stories I would say you would like if you want to revisit Vice City from a different perspective.

I loved Max Payne and I haven't even played Origins yet, BUT, go with Origins. Max Payne was an awesome experience but very linear. You'll get a good 20 hours max, I would say, on it unless you really dig the online (which I didn't try because I got it on Steam and don't like online on PC, so can't tell you much about that). However, from what I have heard, Arkham Origins is basically an expanded Arkham City, which, as bad as it may sound, is still damn f*cking awesome. It's basically an open-world batman simulator. You can't go wrong with either, but I think you'd get more fun out of Arkham Origins. Alternatively, you can pick up Arkham City GOTY for about the same price as you would Max Payne 3.

If you loved the movie you'd probably love Scarface: TWY as well. VCS was more of an update to VC. New missions, golf and the Empire building thingy. The missions are fun but if you are looking for a totally new experience Scarface wins.
