Apartment interiors

I have actually found the apartments to be more of a waste of time than anything useful so far. It takes forever to get from your shower(where you will inevitably be spawning) to the garage since they made it so you cant do anything but walk. The garage is the only destination worth going to since there is nothing else to do. No reason to invite friends over because we all have the same apartment anyway.

 

Some things i think would be awesome for a future DLC and would be entirely possible since the interior of your apartment is not loaded for everyone outside and is basically your own instanced session...

 

The computer on the desk should have an accessable menu with some basic options to customise your apartment. Wall colors for each room, choice of interactable items such as instead of the bong maybe just smokes or cigars, instead of green juice maybe iced tea or coolaid, instead of the front foom table there could be a pool table or poker table, choices for living room furnishings. Add a dart board, arcade game, pinball option somewhere. Make the bed useable by two...whether players or strippers or hookers, add roof access to a hot tub or pool or both...and a helicopter pad. Put food in the fridge. Allow us to dance in apartment...party with friends. Have a channel to connect to netflix and actually log in with the users netflix subscriptiion and watch movies or breaking bad with friends.

 

What other ideas you got?

All of that and be able to customize with uploads. I would like to have beer signs/stickers etc in my garage and pics of stuff in the apartment.

 

Also would be nice to have a balcony to step outside.

 

Oh yea, access to the real internet so I can post up from the game. LOL!

i think roof access might be a future dlc since i noticed in my apartment , just to the left of the entrance to the bedroom is a wall that looks like it might be where a door is but its colored white . i am thinking in the future there might be an elevator there that takes you to the roof

I could see the need to upload snapmatics but i think the social club handles that.

 

The balcony wouldnt work unless it is another exit point of the apartment like the blue circle at door.

 

I would like to be able to put up our snapped pictures in frames around house.

 

Things to put on walls in garage should have been trophies for platinum rewards.

Yeah it would be nice if you could use your uploaded photos in the picture frames around your house instead of pics of random people. I mean not a big deal either way but would be a nice touch.

lol if I could get the medium apartments with a 10 car garage I'd be happier than ever, the huge apartment is bogus especially when you can't run around

 

some kinda furniture decoration would be nice but I really wouldn't care, the big apartment isn't even that good imo

 

only keep it so I don't have to change clothes at a clothes shop, otherwise I would've bought just a garage

I'd like an apartment with a Helipad on top and that can only be accessed though your apartment and we can park our Helicopters on the helipad and it would save and be there like in Story mode..

You shouldnt be surprised. It isnt possible to do. How do you make it only accessable from the apartment and still be able to fly away. Anyone can land there by chopper or parachute. So lets say they lock them like the cars then you need to park everyones chopper in the same roof. That isnt going to work...ok so maybe do it as a load screen like the garage...you going to have an instanced bubble over the roofs of half the tall buildings in the city? They left that option out because it simply isnt feasible. However there should be an empty pad there that you can land on and enter your apartment through a door.

 

As for the owned choppers the pegussus people should be bringing it to you using the exact same method as meriwhether pickup. With the planes there really isnt a whole lot of choice but to have them at the runways...however it is a lot more feasible to share a hanger with other players the same way they did the car garages.

I find the apartment useful. I go there when I want to do some dabs in safety or cook up some grub... Tho Customization would be cool. I agree.

These are good ideas but I highly doubt that R star wants too make this into a copycat of The Sims. The apts serve one need: a safehouse. A place to change clothes. Showers are useless unless you want to sing to build up your RP's.

 

Pooltables, card games, dominoes, group activities would be nice then you really have a reason to invite your peeps over to chill.

good point with the helis not being possible but it'd be nice if you could get it spawned while on the rooftop, or just a basic rooftop access to skydive off or get a Merryweather pickup from

It currently is just a safehouse yes, but if they want this game to last beyond the point where people get tired of repeating missions they have to give ways for people to do more social things and relax. The available sports are a good start. I hear the casinos will be a thing that is good, customization to a much higher degree is a must. The content creator will be a huge step in the right direction. Opening up places like the dance clubs, bars and resturaunts that you "hung out" in with people in single player would also be my recomendation. It is little social aspects like this that will keep people playing longer. Sandbox games are the place for this type of stuff but mind you im not looking for the sims either. Just a fluid online world that has plenty of reason to be in it...not just selecting missions from a menu.

Yeah the way it would work for the Heli's is like your garage everybody has the same exact garage except you are the only one with access it's kind of like that.

 

Or make it so it's delivered to you when you call for it

Anyone one played dc universe online, idid for a bit and you could buy houses and customize them, invite friends and fight with them ir train. Now it all could be acces through a computer on the wall. It be cool to decorate your apartment. Like you do to cars.
