player freeze over apt after last update?

Ok sorry if this is posted in wrong spot our is posted elsewhere. Ever since 1.06 but started about 3 days ago my main guy will freeze once logs into online over his apt. If i switch to my 2nd character it loads fine. Now i found if i go into game data utility and delete the gta 5 content file in their and than load the game he will load find the first time but not if switch servers or from my 2nd character.

 

Does anyone one have any ide wtf is going on here? would re installing the entire game maybe help? not sure what the hell is causing this. its very annoying.

What apartment are you using? Im having this issue too but only after switching to my new place

Do you immediately go to Online on the startup screen? If so, try loading from Single Player. My brother had a similar issue and was remedied by this method.

 

Also, get a new apartment.

I have to go to game data utility delete the little file load gta 5 load sp than load mp. Think my guy is corrupted. Just slow process get online.

I am stuck also. My level 68 will not load, but I can freely start a new character in the other slot. When I load my main it just locks on the 'GTA Loading Online' Screen over the map. I can hear the environment noises, even sometimes my phone rings so I know the character is there - it just won't zone in all the way.

 

Spoke to R* twice and they said they are looking into it. Until then I just have been playing another character. Really sucks tho, how is there not some restore or backup utility, I'd even take a week rollback just to not have to start over.

 

Send in tickets, call them, keep posting here - they need to be aware that 1.06 did not resolve the character issues.

 

Why would I spend money on DLC's or add-ons in the future if the character data is not stable.

try from the dashboard in games list scroll up to game data utilitys and go in there and delete the single gta5 file in there. than load the game. if wont load right into your main guy do same thing than sp than mp. I still need to delete the file b4 i load it first time for the day but my friends were able invite me to new session after i got into my place but the new session laged over the apt about 5 min with them talking. no clue wtf this is but hope it can get resolved other than deleteing files every time i want to play.

 

I dont even bother with rockstar they dont know a damn thing about this game. just pre gen messages telling u nicely to f off.

I'm on xbox so the closest I could find to what people have been trying was - clearing the cache, re installing 1.06, deleting beach bum pack, getting an invite from another player from a job/mission - but still locked in the load screen.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, glad you are able to get in the game. I also heard changing your spawn place to last location can keep it from happening again, but I can't get in to change those options. Tried changing them on my other character but looks like they are specific for each slot so it didn't work.
