Ss4gogeta0
What people don't realize about GTA V is that what it lacks in Quantity it makes up for in Quality... Look at the amount of detail in this game, you cant tell me that you would rather trade that in for some useless features like a Jetpack or surfing... This game pretty much just set the bar on what is expected in quality yet you guys bitch about cut features like it matters... Rockstar did an amazing job and gave us a piece of art... and before you say that I am some rockstar fanboy or something, I prefer Blue Stinger and Tony Hawk over GTA... as for the people who complain about online ruining GTA... Online has been a part of GTA since DAY 1 get over it... I remember playing GTA 2 Multiplayer... Anyway back to Modding GTA SA... Fuzzknuckles
There's really not much I'd change about V. I agree with OP, the artistry and craft that's gone into all the details is being overlooked. I've noticed that in the last 10 years, average game length has been steadily dropping off, as far as I can see, to improve the graphics. This is pretty consistent over the last two generations of consoles (and, yeah, PC games, when we're talking multi-platform. It's the way things are going. Soon we'll have photo-realistic games that can be completed in 10 minutes. Ss4gogeta0 1 Signatures are dumb anyway.

I agree with OP, the artistry and craft that's gone into all the details is being overlooked. The four things I would change/add are more exciting side-missions, more interiors, a somewhat less aggressive wanted system and more health. Those things are my only complaints but quite severe. îlîlîlîlîlî and BFR579

Yea there wasnt much room on the Disc to add it all in, although I am sure as time goes on alot of those features will be added through updates... There's really not much I'd change about V. Sure they removed the annoying detection circles but they're more aggressive and overpowered overall, and health does feel lower to me.
Official General
I'd trade graphical detail for more criminal gameplay in the single player free roam. If it meant having to sacrifice really great graphics GTA V has for this, I will have to agree with you on that. Gnocchi Flip Flops
Inb4 realistic car physics, shoving peds, turning engine on/off, etc etcCan you actually contribute rather than being a dork? Keep it up and you might get a warning, just sayin'. It makes you look stupid. Anyways, I think graphics add nothing to the game if they're super detailed. To me, graphics are a bonus. Of course Big Rigs Racing graphics are unacceptable but something decent and not so vibrant is fine by me. I'd rather have more detail in features than detail in graphics. AtomicPunk
I put my boots on because the bullsh*t is getting deep in here. V is not o-so-perfect. Ixnay
So what you're saying is, if it looks good we shouldn't care how it plays? Just trying to clarify, 'cause that's how I interpreted the OP upon first reading. I shall ponder this... Ok, now I see it as "Well, what they did do is great." Graphically, I really like it. Big improvement, in my opinion, especially in animations such as going up or down steps, or even just the walking (even if Michael looks like he's holding in a dump). To me, Niko always looked like he was in danger of tipping over, and he went up and down stairs like he had to dump. So yeah, it looks great, but to me, all these complaint posts kinda make it seem like gameplay is more important. I don't see how it can not be compared to previous games in the series. Graphics and "art" aside, they really didn't step anything up, in my opinion. latigreblue

But there are equally as many that think it IS perfect. So the only single word description for V seems to be 'divisive'. Some people like it some people don't. It's completely subjective. Incredible, I know. Signatures are dumb anyway.

I went back to try IV and I couldn't stand it, it felt dead and dull compared to V and I said it before, I loved IV for years, still preferred SA and Liberty City Stories over it but an excellent addition to the series when it was released. In terms of the gameplay (Michael's walk aside) it was, for me at least, a massive improvement all round.

DeafMetal
What lack of quantity? I thought the game had plenty things to see and do. You can argue on the quality of these, but you've got to be a damn hipster to say it didn't have quantity. People just expected stupidly unreal amounts.
