I've just lost my Lvl 78 thats taken me ages to get where I want vehicles, money, stats, clothes wise etc. will R* do anything at all? Because I'm seriously pissed off

Are you part of a crew? Does it freeze in the clouds... any error messages?

I was just making sure coz I know there's a lot of eegits on here (: I was pretty sure that they wouldn't do anything but I thought I'd ask here because I'm sure this has happened a lot, I thought I was lucky because I didn't have that many problems near the start of GTAO, guess this is R*'s way of getting back at me :(

 

I always get my characters back..

 

Whats your exact issue anyways?

my issue is i've put a lot of time and work into this character and now for no reason at all its gone

If you cheated they prob wont give your account back since they will have to look into your account to get it back. if you didnt cheat they will probable restore everything. probable..

I'm pretty sure that means your email will either be at the bottom of a very large pile, or deleted. Bear in mind that the people that handle emails for companies like this are typically minimum wage students trying to scrape their way through uni, and someone raging at them will either make them dump you out of spite, or dump you for the lulz.

Try joining online from the start menu instead of the character wheel. That was a bodge way round this issue when it first arose, but may not work any more. Worth a try though.

I glitched about 2 mil 3 ish weeks ago when I thought I'd lost one of my favourite cars but that was all, I could understand if i'd glitched like 20 odd million but I haven't

Could down? What happens when you try to choose character for ONLINE while offline?

nothing there, just tells me I need to create a new character

 

 

I've had this happen... Just try again later and hope for the best.

 

It took me over 24 hours one time for cloud to reboot my character back up.

If you can't connect to rockstat servers it does that. Do not make another character whatever you do or u will f f*ck any chance of getting your old one back

Honestly. I raged hard.... I could barely sleep that night..lol

 

Next day after work I was ready to start over and BAM it was back.

 

 

Best of luck tho man. I know the feeling.

Just don't create a new player. Your guy is still floating around in the clouds but if you put another player in his spot he will die.

Definitely go to online through the start menu --> Online --> Play online, not the character select wheel.

whatever you do, don't create a new character under that account. like others have said, wait a day or two and the character may get restored. sorry this happened to you man.

said it before, and i will say it again, cloud server problems, you did not lose it, do not make another one, put the controller down and give it some time. Like a Day, then sign back in.
