The Commute and/or supers

WTF? No exaggeration. Last night I must've joined 20 races. Of those races, at least 10 to 12 were The Commute and only twice was it not set to race supers. I backed out of so many others, too, because they were set to race supers. What the hell? I'm just getting sick of one race course and one car category all the time. Do these kids know there's other cars and tracks? The payout on The Commute isn't even that great since 1.06.

I've tried hosting races with different cars and people join, see it's not supers, and back out (when that aspect of the game works).

Why? To the kids who race supers all day long on one track, why? How is that fun? It's a boring track after you've raced it 50 times. And the only cars worth choosing in the super class are Entities and Adders.

Also, do you get charged the fee if you back out before the race starts?

People like racing supers. If you don't like it, then host your own race.

I have seen the commute being done in offroad vehicles and it is painfully slow lol, but it is fun.

I back out anymore cause I'm getting burned out on the one track and the one class. Commute with off-road seems silly, yes.

I've tried hosting my own races, and either my connection sucks and I sit there forever with nobody joining, or folks join and then leave.

I'm not trying to start a flame war, just wondering why people think that's the best track and supers are the only class worth racing?

These races seem to be popular!

I don't understand why though, because when I host a game, I switch between all the classes, and it seems that people like it. Usually the same group hangs on for 10-15 replays

Supercar races is the most boring ones imo

Part of the problem is people dump a lot of money into modding their super cars so want to race them - they often don't have a modded car other classes or sometimes even an unmodded custom either.

Also, the super cars are very flattering to people's awful driving skills in this game so there is a mentality of other classes 'sucking' - when in reality its just the unrealistic sueprcar handling saving bad drivers.

The Commute seems to be the latest grind track since CR and DtD got nerfed, so not much you can do there.

But I agree, sports/sedans/coupes are all very competitive across different models (moreso then supers) and muscle cars are an absolute hoot to drive as well even if its a 2 car race.

I joined a random race and it was The Commute with Customs OFF and the class set to SUV. It was so slow and boring I wanted to quit. In the famous words of Ricky Bobby....

this is the one race thats cool with all cars, I prefer sedans or coupè's because they don't spin so fast.

but with supers you just get that little extra thrill

custom cars should have higher top speed !!

There's also the mods you get for winning races in relevant classes of car. If people are buying super cars then they're going to want to win races in super cars, in order to open more mods for that class.

I'd be more bummed at doing the same race over and over again than doing it in the same cars.

I never thought of this. It makes sense considering how expensive they are.

Muscle has become my favorite class to race. But I still love racing coupes and sports too. I even hav a modified compact in case that class is ever chosen.

Commute is a simple race. Theres like one turn you need to slow down for and that's it.

Turn of traffic and its pretty much one of the easiest straight races in the game, which favours the fastest paper stat car.

Same goes for route 68.

People are just sh*t drivers and prefer to drive with the gas held down constantly...lol

The Commute is my fave course. Fast. Point to point. Only one real technical turn. Great for motorcycles. But I agree with you on supers. I wish you could only race with cars in your garage. But better supers than those worthless pieces of sh*t american't muscles...

Agreed on that, also mixes up the wins a little as not everyone has a modded car of every type. I think it's just the "kids" who will only race the fastest possible cars on the fastest tracks, they don't quite get that it isn't always the most fun thing to do...

You should host more races ._.

I have to resort to free roam races to NOT race supers all the time -.-

Good points.

Sports is the best class in my opinion, since there is a big variety of vehicles. Never raced Sedans though, but Coupes are fun aswell.

If catch up is on, there is no point at all in racing The Commute or Route 68. Everyone just ends up bunched up, one mistake and then a huge crash on the first turn. These are easy tracks, that's why they are raced so much. Supers are the fastest cars in the game, so people want to always drive them.

I've gotten used to joining, backing out, and re joining new races. If I can't find a decent race, I will host my own. But not many randoms out there like to do 3-5 lap technical races in Sedans.

I don't mind racing classes other than supers

I have a modded muscle sports super and a bike and would like to race all of them

Well wasn't the supers class the one that unlocks mods for every other class? Thought that was the only reason people raced em in CR?

Same here. People want the easiest race possible. So Commute it is. Don't get me wrong, live the track. There are better races though. Lapped races give much better RP and cash. My new personal favorites are Cutting Coroners and Graveyard shift. Fun stuff. Ohhhh and the new Pier to Pier is awesome too.

was a common myth ... any car class unlocked all mods.

plus super unlocks mods for all car types.. dont know why but this was still working after 1.06 (as i found out with my second character)

Wouldn't mind Supers for The Commute.

But when I join lobbies that have offroad or sedans as the chosen class...

Well

sh*t happens at the first turn...

I always go thru all the classes when hosting, even the ones I don't have cars for

makes it fun, even on commute

i do, have a race optimised garage on my first character with 1 car of each class modded for any race type... my second character is for cars i enjoy (looks, cruising, offroading), rather than ones i race in

if you guys want good regular racing and racing events instead of just the commute and bumper cars id highly recommend getting involved in the Approved Racers thread or hooking up with any crew members from Red Rum Racing who race various classes over various tracks. We like mixing up the different options to make sure we don't get complacent with our driving and keep the standard of quality high and always look after our crew members....
