Great idea to have a poll on ages but your demographic ranges are far from the standard. Not criticizing, just saying. It would be better with the standard....

Under 12 years old

12-17 years old

18-24 years old

25-34 years old

35-44 years old

45-54 years old

55-64 years old

65-74 years old

75 years or older

Then I wouldn't be lumped in with the 40 year olds!

First, you are only proving what ages dominate this forum. Most players that play the game don't come here and a few here haven't played it or sold it.

 

Second, most will lie just to mix with the group, because they are too young, too old or just troll.

 

Personally, I think the people explaining more than needed here are lying. Explaining the good ol' days out of context without request. Sure some might be wanting to strike a conversation but seems odd when the mayority does it.

Why so cynical? and why would anyone lie?. No one is doing any harm.....sheesh. The youth of today.

well he is right, it is flawed but at least you get an idea from the forum users which i guess there are alot of, the only way to get a real estimate would be for R* to post an in game (online) questionnaire whereby you can quickly select your age and carry on your gaming, but then even, it would be flawed, people will lie.

 

Im not claiming to be perfect or to try get the perfect stats or anything, was just curious thats all and ive found it very interesting.

i just found i was joining sessions with a lot of screeching kids or what sounded like it anyways, so i decided to start a poll where people dont really have the need to lie and to get an idea of who we got on the forums and playing online, thats it.

 

What motives would i have?

 

Im very satisfied with the results of this, i still however do wonder where all these little kids are coming from as the poll does not justify it, only thing i can think of is they cant spell, read or write and simply go online to play, they dont bother with forums lol.

This is the game I always wanted more or less, as open as can be for now. Still no football though lol. I always thought sensible soccer would have fitted into the original gta so well. Um any poll is going to be about who posts on this forum, so that's a moot point.

Some will lie, but I think most are telling the truth. Age doesn't necessarily mean wisdom or maturity... So it may be hard to believe a 30-40 year old will troll people...but believe it. Hell, my 60 something year old uncle likes to sniper troll.

I think a lot of people are explaining their gaming bona fides because they were surprised (and pleased) at the age range and feel a kinship with old school gamers.
