I remember playing Deus EX (2000) for so long I forgot to eat for two days and was late handing in my final University Dissertation! oops!

Still the best game I have ever played

This was my first computer game:

ADVENTURE
The Interactive Original
By Will Crowther (1976) and Don Woods (1977)
Reconstructed in three steps by:
Donald Ekman, David M. Baggett (1993) and Graham Nelson (1994)
[in memoriam Stephen Bishop (1820?-1857): GN]

Release 9 / Serial number 060321 / Inform v6.31 Library 6/11 S

AT END OF ROAD
You are standing at the end of a road before a small brick building. Around you is a forest. A small stream flows out of the building and down a gully.

> east

INSIDE BUILDING SCORE: 36 MOVES: 1

INSIDE BUILDING
You are inside a building, a well house for a large spring.

There are some keys on the ground here.

There is tasty food here.

There is a shiny brass lamp nearby.

There is an empty bottle here.

I'm sure some remember the text based Adventure game.

My first PC, if you can call it that, was a Commadore 64

My first game console was Intellivision.

My favorite GTA was Vice City... 80's, gotta love it.

First computer I owned was an Amstrad CPC 464, with such classic games as Dizzy, Double Dragon and Rampage. Also owned every console there was, favourite being the Dreamcast and a game called Shenmue.

Anyone remember the bulletin board systems before we had the internet? You would dial up someone's modem and connect to their computer and bulletin board. H/P/A/C/V.

Man, I miss the old days!

19. But this thread has it's flaws.

First, you are only proving what ages dominate this forum. Most players that play the game don't come here and a few here haven't played it or sold it.

Second, most will lie just to mix with the group, because they are too young, too old or just troll.

Personally, I think the people explaining more than needed here are lying. Explaining the good ol' days out of context without request. Sure some might be wanting to strike a conversation but seems odd when the mayority does it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers. Good times they were.

I'm 33 and glad there are some older folk around.

i can safely say that no one expected me to say 15

I never would have expected. I was thinking 10-12.

Killzone is misused.

I'm 26.

First console was an NES that my dad bought for us (himself). I can remember him being a Tetris addict to the point of actually "beating" it. Some of the first games I can remember in our collection were the Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt combo cartridge, the original Final Fantasy, the golden The Legend of Zelda cartridge, Dragon Warrior, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Metal Gear, Contra, Jackal, Skate or Die, and I'm sure some others. My brain hurts just trying to remember all those.

So, i think it would be interesting to see what age groups are more popular in GTAO than not.

Might be surprised. (try be honest guys.)

Yeah, I'm sure everyone will be honest when you made the poll public. That won't possibly bias the results at all.

I'm jealous of that cartridge.

No way, her clothes don't even match. It offends my aesthetic sensibilities.

25, 20-40 seems to be the age group of people who are willing to participate in this discussion.

I've played GtA since the first one in 97 (skipping a few... like IV and some others) but I feel the online community here is of people older then most online console games I have played.

Computer games tend to draw an older crowed. The 1st person shooter I play now is Red Orchestra... mostly older Europeans play it and it is a WWII tactical game... 64 or so people in a server....

I never understood why people liked console arena based shooters... that is not at all how a real tactical combat situation goes down... Stuff on the computer like the Arma games, Red Orchestra, 1944 liberation ect.. are better representations of a tactical firefight.

and your age is? 7?

who cares man, nothing is guaranteed in life, you will learn this as you mature, it at least gives us an idea and there really inst a reason to lie.

and most of the maturer types taking part of this poll are posting about their histories and what they remember as kids, no 12 year old is going to know about those things, hell kids now days don't even know what roll down windows in cars are anymore, or tape decks, or typewriters.

im personally impressed with the feedback on my post, alot of interesting stories and memories, everyone has been so fun and sharing unlike most threads where its just insults.

just go with it and have fun dude.
