The Showroom: Bravado Rat Loader

I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of people that have this vehicle in their garage. Let's not wait anymore, it's time to talk about the Bravado Rat Loader.

 

 

Background/Design

There's not much to say about the Rat Loader, mainly because this is the first GTA game it has ever appeared so it doesn't have history at all. Although the design is definitely something to talk about, being as one of the few really old cars in the game, the Rat Loader is considered to be a "rare" vehicle in the world of GTAO.. The Rat Loader has a TON of customization options, from removing panels and fenders to re hauling the truck bed. Great looking hot rod even though it's categorized as a muscle car in the game... but that doesn't stop us from enjoying this beauty.

• Take note: Even though you clear the truck bed, it still wont be able to seat anyone. (2 Person vehicle)

 

Speed - 6.0

Okay okay before anyone shouts at me for giving this vehicle a pretty average score for speed... shut yourself because its true. The Rat Loader, as amazing looking as a vehicle it is... IS SLOW. It's not THAT fast, the top speed can be great, but that's if you get far enough without clipping on to something on the road. The Acceleration is excellent BUT my goodness is the wheelspin crazy long.

 

Handling - 6.0

This brings us to the handling, and yeah it kinda sucks lol. The fact that it's slippery just like the phoenix is something that's never good for anyone. The feeling of zooming through everyone is awesome... but as soon as you clip on to something small you start to slowly spin out of control... then it's you trying to get back on the road but with that wheelspin you might as well take a nap.

 

Overall Rating - 7.0

Even though the speed isn't all that great, and the handling is quite doodoo I still give this car a better than average personal rating. Mainly because it's a great vehicle to own as a collector, I don't do much racing so whenever I do get a chance to play I just end up cruising around and testing out different vehicles. And I have to say that this vehicle pretty much turn heads, it gets other players' attention and not to mention it's a classic.

 

• For people that have difficulty finding this vehicle, I found mine parked at one of the houses in Sandy Shore (Literally right beside Trevor's place)

oh and off road tires will improve the handling on most cars. now my ratloader can actually turn when im driving.

Love the rat loader. Ill post mine when I can. I don't care how it drives. It's just a looker. If anyone is having a hard time getting it to spawn in sandy shores try looking at night more often. I've heard from a few people that they only found it at night.

I found mine during the day, but yes you're right it spawns at several locations all in Sandy Shores.

Personally I didn't like the rat loader, I thought the truck bed would support a player standing, but they fall out regardless of the type of bed installed. Dune loader is much better

I love my rat loader. I just wish they made it sound more like the Hotknife. Love the styling. Love the wheelspin. Love the crappy handling. I just wish it had a hot rod sound.

 

It does actually sound like a 4 cylinder from the 30s-40s, but it obviously is a V8.

You forgot to mention that the entire suspension is made of wood...

It's a moderately cool looking truck with decent mods, beside the fact it is most definitely in the wrong class of cars (muscle) for how it handles and how fast it is.

 

Rare doesn't mean anything, if you are having trouble finding the Rat Loader watch this;

I'm getting a lot of love hate relationships from everyone and I can't agree more. the Rat loader looks so nice but it's haunted by the horrible performance... Damaged goods!

God, the chrome engine looks so damned terrible on this car because the cylinder head stays rusty no matter what.

Haha I know how you feel man, it took me a long time to get rid of mine, considering I keep collecting cars to make these threads.

Yeah sadly since it's one of the old cars, there's no non-beater version of it... maybe we can suggest that to Rockstar
