ChumCrumpet
While it's not possible to currently emulate PS2 on Vita, it's more than possilble to optomise a game to work on the Vita that comes form the PS2 range. My main question is; Do you think the Vita would be worth companies optomising their games and repackaging them to run on Vita? On one hand there is the extra work load which most companies wouldn't want to take on just to sell on handheld. The market isn't as big as it was 20 years ago, and thne it'd come down to what Sony wouild need to give or recieve. To an extent, Sony would need the companies to do this and would need to compentsate them for needing to change up their games so late in. Lazy production offices like Rockstar wouldn't bother doing it, whereas some other companies would come up with glitchy messes that probably wouldn't work too well to be worth the hassle or the money. On the other hand we'vegot the Vita sales themselves, and the money the companies would make. I can safely assumed that a good 80% of Vita owners would buy San Andreas if it were made available on PS Vita, but what about other games? Would it be constricted to the games currently on PS Store right now or would it be benificial to branch out to other companies to get other games made up? For instance, The SIms Bustin' Out. I found it to be a good game and it sold well but unlike a games from the GTA 3D era would it be worth recreating on PS Vita, and would people buy it? I know I missed out some points, I either didn't think of them I didn't think them important enough to add in. So what do you think? Is there much point trying to opotimise a bunch of PS2 games just so GTA III/Vice City/San Andreas can get all the downloads themselves and the others are left in the dust? Or do you think it could be extrremely benificial the game companies and Sony?
Finn 7 five 11
The market actually is bigger than it was 20 years ago, far bigger, but there is far more competition, you have the biggest ones being Smartphones and tablets, then there's Nintendo's DS and then the Vita. Personally I don't think porting PS2 games to Vita is worthwhile, the install base on the Vita is very small, porting a large game is a lot of effort. SilverRST
I really really wouldl ove to have GTA SA on my PSVita and same goes for GTA III and VC. And some other classic NFS like Hot Pursuit 2 and so on and of course, DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3! Too bad the PSVita only got sh*t games and Sony is trying to make it popular with PS4 like remote crap. I'm not itnerested in that remore or streaming bullsh*t, all I want is to have nice games on it. And I'm really disappointed in R* they keep porting the III Era games only to Apple and Andriod. Why the f*ck not porting them to the PSVita. After all, the Vita is a worthless piece of crap and i have one. It's eating dust now, it's no use. Killerdude
Would it be cool? Yes. Would it be worth it? No. Not very many Own a PS Vita afaik, It wouldn't make sense to spend time and resources on porting a game over to it, when there won't be many to buy it. Could porting a particular game to it make people want to buy one? Possibly, But I don't think companies would take the risk.

I feel without extensive surveying, no one would know what games would be worth porting. Of course, there's games like San Andreas which people would just buy due to it's popularity. I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar turned around tomorrow and said they'd do it due to the popularity of them announcing SA for the phones. But like I say, Rockstar are unbelieveably lazy. You really have no idea how much I really want to play GTA SA on my PSVita! It is like a kid walking in a candy store, drooling all over the place to get that fine piece of candy! Playing GTA SA at night, no more need to turn on the PC and disturb others. Or playing it all day, anywhere and everywhere. Driving/flying with the right trigger button and steer with the left analog stick abd free-move camera with the right analog stick. Much better colours and contrast on the OLED screen, nice big OLE screen. Man, R* is absolutely f*cking lazy and miserable!! How the f*ck can they port GTA SA over to expensive phones??Come on now, driving, flying, steering and combat with the touchscreen?! F*ck no!
