I doubt there will ever be a casino, considering you can pay real cash to get in-game money. There's probably gaming license issues or something along those lines.

 

 

IIRC the legal issues deal with payout. since you cannot redeem your GTA:O cash for IRL cash, you can't really "win" anything. i think that's why there are still online casino games where you can buy "chips" but yet you can never cash them in so they are allowed to stay in business.

Floor one: Slot machines w/ "digital" card games, Money range: $1,000 to $50,000, Level: 10+, Dress code: None

 

Floor two: Low/mid stake card games w/ other games, Money range: $250,000 to $500,000, Level: 25+, Dress code: Business shirts, pants, and shoes

 

Floor Three: Mid/high stake card games w/ other games, Money range: $750,000 to $2,500,000, Level: 50+, Dress code: Business attire/Tuxedo

Good point. I think there's a degrees of separation aspect. Use real money to buy game money then game money to buy casino chips to gamble with. Much like $$ becomes Facebook credit becomes slot machine coins.

 

As for the current betting on races etc I see that as a wager between individuals which is probably in a different category of regulation if its regulated at all. Not being american I'm not well versed in US gambling law beyond 'Americans can't play online real money poker'.

Still no regrets, iv driven and owned every car from the websites, had all the army vehicles before anybody else (tank, buzzard etc) lived in all the high end appartments atleast twice over (gona try all the mid levels soon) set endless bountys, mercenaries and muggers on people, trapping griefers and blowing them up over and over in my tank and in general been having a blast in free roam not having to worry about money or being punished anymore for pv explosions. Yes i would do it all over again the same way and i really dont care if i get banned and im sure i speak for mostly everyone else in this field, as we have experienced memories of a high roller that peasants can never recreate.

Those are all good points. I really don't have any idea how those regulations would apply, but considering the examples people posted it seems like they could make it work. Not like I have the money to be frittering away at the casino anyway lol!
