Not every one wants to look like a faggy hipster, emo, surfer etc. If those hairstyles really are "what's in" these days, then (to quote that meme) I don't want to live on this planet any more. If anything, shaving would increase their chances of being taken seriously as a man. A beard is something a person should wait until the right time to grow.
