Danz.
Last penalty unlucky but Brazil overall deserved. Well deserved? How? Anyways, I don't think Brazil will get through the quarter-finals displaying such poor football, especially against Colombia that will almost certanly beat Uruguay. Was a great game, but too unlucky for Chile.... Edited June 28, 2014 by Danz. Peregrin Brandytook and Ezekiel
Sentrion
Well, Bravo couldn't keep the game for long enough in Chile's hands. The penalties were poorly timed.
FranklinDeRoosevelt
Unlucky on the last penalty, shouldn't have gone for the right corner Chile played brilliantly, and so did Brazil.

Doc Rikowski
This is a sad day for football today. Brazil advanced to the quarter finals. However, many leaks were out about this WC being bought by the Brazilian FF and that the FIFA is giving them back. It's an happy day cause the WC quarter finals without Brazil would suck pretty much. The game today could have gone either way. Chile could have won at the penalties so your whole argument is sh*t. Chileans failed, end of the story. Brazil deserved it cause they wanted it more. Chileans wanted the penalties. It didn't pay out. Ari Gold
Kampioen
Brazil needed to go through, or the world cup would have been cancelled and the trophy sold on the black market. Ezekiel, Danz. and xNCx
Jimmy_Leppard
It's a sad day because the WC is bought. If it was fair, Brazil wouldn't have even made it out of the group. Group A would've been - 1. Mexico 7, 2. Croatia 6, 3. Brazil 4 points. Brazil ripped Croatia in the opening game which should've gone 2:1 to Croatia fair and square. Everyone knows it. Brazil plays very bad football and I can't really believe we are gonna watch that in the quarter finals aswell. Danz.
Eutyphro
Brazil deserved it because they were better today. Chile played under their level. They were sloppy and anxious all through the game. They often too quickly decided to give long passes. They had no patience. And their goalkeeper often played the long ball eventhough they pretty much won 0 air duels because they are all short. johnny_zoo
Well Im glad Brazil are through. My only gripe is that I want Columbia to win this match and go to the semis. But they will play Brazil and I dont know who I shall choose. I just hope Uruguay lose mainly because Suarez is such a douche. I think the banning of him will impact the team enough to shake them. Fisciletti
Brazil played really bad today. Also, I didn't expect the referee to be so bad. Howard Webb disappointed me. Anyway I'm happy we made it through.

bread
So as much as I love Mexico and extremely admire Herrera's jubilant attitude, I'm afraid they're gonna have a tough game against the Netherlands. There's far more talent on the Holland side as opposed to the Mexicans. The Netherlands are also a possible contender for the WC anyways. They're right on Germany and Brasils boat. And let's face it, while Belgium has quite a lot of individuality and talent, the U.S tends to be stronger with teamwork. They made it out of the group of death, Belgium didn't. Belgium played in the most easiest group (South Korea was in it, c'mon). The U.S could have easily spared a match if they were in that group. FIFA just decided to toss them into the most difficult group. Being the underdog and making it out of the group of death means a lot, so it's safe to say the U.S is and will be well prepared when they face Belgium. I'm calling a win on the U.S side. GTA_stu
Did the people saying that it's been "bought" for Brazil actually watch the f*cking game? They had a goddamn goal ruled out, and 1 or 2 50/50 penalty challenges turned down. If it has been bought then the people that bought it clearly didn't pay enough did they. They had some decisions go their way in the first game against Croatia but that's it. God I've never heard so much bollocks before in my life. Vercetti42
Fantastic game between Brazil and Chile. Although Brazil still haven't really impressed me so far, I can see Colombia edging them but it's going to be a good game either way. But, hey Julio Cesar is still class! Also James Rodriguez is brilliant. Can see him going to a big club soon. (Maybe Barca? ) Also I find it funny that the people screaming "RIGGED" aren't footy desk regulars. Eutyphro
What yesterdays match proves is that the world cup definitely isn't fixed in favour of Brasil and probably not for any specific team for that matter. Specific matches might still be fixed though. We can't deny that with complete certainty. Doc Rikowski
