Eram
Portugal's problem is the same as Italy: totally incompetent coach. Not fit to coach a team at this level. As for Ronaldo, well maybe he's injured or whatever but to me he played sh*t once again. One good pass and that's all. (...) Argentina coach is on the same package. Messi, even with poor performance, won both games for them (with a bit of ref help imho...). Ronaldo is surley injured (rotulian tendon rupture) for more than 3 months now. Ice on left knee after every training/game... He has been with several specialists (even from the nba) and afaik for most of them surgery is mandatory. He didn't want to do it since it = no CL season goal's record (he made it) or WC gaming would be available, but as some of those docs stated he's risking his own career. It doesn't necessarly stops him from playing unlike some ligaments stuff or other knee injuries (unless he was competing for high jump or maybe gymnastics), but he's jumps are limited and he's surely not even close to his top fitness (not with vomits like Messi, but getting there ). Edit - Man of the Match - Tim Howard lol. I'm pretty sure it was Paulo Bento (Portugal's coach). Edited June 23, 2014 by EramVerdes

cactus.
Cannot f*cking believe that last goal. It's like a bad dream I can't wake up from. Now all we need to ensure our qualification is a point from Germany, lolz. f*ck me. One thing for sure is group G is going to finish with a bang. ddyoung
GTA_stu
They're totally gonna collaborate and draw it. Maybe make it 1-1 or 2-2 to try and make it less obvious, but they'll no doubt fix it. Probably even give Klose an easy game and give him a goal or two to break Ronaldo's record. And Low does look like Hitler lol. You just notice it more because he's German, and it makes it funnier too. Eram
ddyoung
Group G is gonna be the most exciting to watch on the last day. I think that it's the only group where every team can either progress or go home based upon this next round.
Eutyphro
Apart from the stupid one color shorts and shirt, the kits this world cup look amazing though... Ari Gold
Am I the only one who thinks the one-colour idea isn't a bad one? Although it's a bit dull to see red v white over-and-over, I think saying at least half of the games have been red v white is a bit over the top and is such a non-issue given that we're watching the World Cup for good football (which the tournament has dealth out in spades). There's still room for creativity with kits despite it being restricted to one colour.

GTA3Rockstar
How the hell does that happen? You was just on their side of the field with 1 minute in time left. Well hopefully they don't blow next game or else they need Portugal to win because their GA/GF is worse than Ghanas.

Doc Rikowski
The whole kits thing is just stupid. It's not just about the look, it's about tradition. Some kits are traditionally two colors. Changing them into one is an insult. --- Everyone who thinks that the outcome of group G isn't obvious (Germany and USA will draw and eliminate Portugal and Ghana) is either very naive or an incurable optimist. I really don't think it'll be fixed, or not even a "Gentleman's agreement." I was gonna buy one of the shirts if Holland wins the world cup, but if I have the money I'm probably going to buy one regardless. Prices are steep though, 90 Euros for the cheaper version and 120 for the more expensive one. USA WON 2-2 That's a win now? Vercetti42
Belgium have been pretty bad for their standards so far. And Lukaku looks incredibly awful. Can't be relying on subs all the time for goals. USA should still go through though, Algeria should too. cactus.
USA should still go through though, Algeria should too. (Because Russia have been terrible) Should?! hah, I'm so nervous. The scenarios are pretty interesting. We can lose and Ghana win, but if Ghana's scoreline is greater than ours (say 2-1 vs. 0-1) then we get sent out on Goals Scored. Nah it will be a gentleman's agreement. Perhaps not by the managers but players will know what needs to be done so they aren't excatly going to be breaking their necks making runs etc. It's got draw written all over it. I suppose, although I don't see why Germany should be vested in our chances. I expect them to go out and try to win like they do every other game. I won't be surprised if they put 3 past us in the first half. I think it'd be pretty lame, too. I don't want to qualify like that. If Ghana plays another hell of a game and gets their win, and we just play out a dull draw, it will be bad for a tournament that the lesser team is progressing. Even as a fan, I don't want to see my team do that. edit: and another thing, even if Germany lose, their +4 goal difference makes them pretty damn safe to still qualify. So, they've got nothing to lose by going out and trying to do their job as usual, what with Muller and Klose both pushing for personal goal scoring records and whatnot.. I'm expecting it to be another tough game for us. But god damn, I'm excited. Edited June 23, 2014 by TheCacti

Mr Rabbit
Remember Euro 2002 when Denmark and Sweden needed a 2-2 draw to both pass and that is what happened? *counts on fingers* errrr Doc, 2002 was a World Cup year. But yeah I suppose the point stands Euro 2004 it was. The shocking thing with this was, if it was 1-1 Denmark would be out to Italy since they were 1 PLACE lower on world rankings at the time, cos head to head goals scored would be the same rather than 1 higher than Italy, so I THINK then it goes down to rankings, so it didn't jsut have to be a draw, it had to be AT LEAST 2-2, so yeah I'll admit this one is very slightly suspect. Whereas Germany and USA just need a draw which they can make look convincing

That's going to be a big loss for them. Hopefully Portugal will grind out a result against them and not even make me worry about our own.

Eutyphro
Those chileans are some short but speedy motherf*ckers. It's like watching a game of little people vs giants, with the little people dominating thus far. They are not dominating at all... Netherlands has been more dangerous in front of the goal than Chile. The Netherlands are playing with 8 defensive players (including Kuyt), and 3 fast counter attackers (Wijnaldum, Lens, Robben), and significant counter deep passers Blind and Sneijder, and De Jong and Janmaat are pressing Chile with runs trying to take their ball. I can't believe Robben almost scored from that run. That was insane. Robben can't be human, it is insane what he does. Both sides can win this, but you saw A. Sanchez couldn't keep up the pressing on the goalkeeper, and Chile's game was collapsing as time went on. Having the ball does not equal dominating. Counter football is beautiful. Embrace it.
