Eram
Slimani plays for my supporting team. He's a great striker, though he was on the starting line up only by the end of the season, but even when he was a sub he almost always added something to the game. A big guy, with some footwork though. I've read today that the Hammers want to sign him up (they tried him on loan in January to no avail). A lot of more £ after today's performance. But I'll be sorry if he goes away, no matter how much £ are "given". This felt like was going to be lousy game but, wow 4 goals already, very nice! I want more!!! Edit - They promptly acted towards my request for more, cool Edit2 - 6 goals now, keep on going, please! Kampioen
Come on, not every bad decision by a ref is made because of some hidden agenda or corruption. The decisions against Bosnia and Iran yesterday were just genuine mistakes or the ref genuinely thought the decision he was making was correct. I think some form of video evidence or review system needs to be brought in to games, because the referee can't get everything right and especially at this level this can have dramatic consequences. Goal line technology is a good start but we need to add to it. Oh I agree with this. I think most of the bad call are accidental and I think most games are not affected by corruption at all. But I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen. For instance in Brazil's first game, there were so many bad calls in Brazil's favor that it did reek of corruption. Of course that might also have been a fluke, we'll probably never know. Algeria vs South Korea is shaping up pretty nicely. Hope to see South Korea close the gap more, just 2 more goals for a tie a the moment. Not supporting either team, I just want tension.

Eram
Another pen unseen. At least 2 on this game ... They got to add the american footbal replay rule as per coach request or some other kind of video checking (like in rugby or nba)... Slimani - Man of the Match - Yeahhh!!! Edit - Next game is my Portugal against the "Yankees". Though I truly hope I'm wrong, atm I believe Portugal will not win this one, since: -USA's best is the right wing (and the 2 DM); -Portugal doesn't have any LB sub for Coentrão that is already back home with a long time injury lol; -Ronaldo will be playing on left side still injured; -Best by far Portuguese DM (William Carvalho) will not start again (why?!), for unknown reasons; -Miguel Veloso, Raul Meireles and Helder Postiga will be playing ; -35.000 "Yankees" on a 43.000 stadium, so a lot of Ronaldo buhhhhs, but thiscan actualy work the other way around (like many times before) as some kind of energy boost. Edit 2 - @below it's not the ligaments it's a rotulian tendon rupture and it's been on since at least 3 months... This also can give an early end to his career if he keeps pushing like he did 120 mins for CL Final, but I'm no Doctor, just sayin Edited June 22, 2014 by EramVerdes

bread
There was a runner on my cross country team this year that was in the same boat as Ronaldo is at the moment. He had a tendon rupture yet would constantly run and run until his knee gave out. His running didn't change though, he was still the best runner on the team. But he still ended up missing the last 3 races of the season because of his knee. Ronaldo is undoubtedly in a weaker state. We'll just have to see if he's weak enough to give in though. I'm ready. hey gurl (I might regret this, as Portugal's shape on the pitch is miserable) This is the second game I've been able to watch; work is keeping me off my World Cup duties. Eram
@Canoxa - Indeed it is. There was a court order a couple of days ago that made the timeout mandatory at 30 mins (though this timeout was on min 38...) if >32ºC. I believe atm it's about 28º but humidity is on the high 80's, so probably the ref wasn't feeling that good Edited June 22, 2014 by EramVerdes

Eutyphro
What a moment when Ronaldo missed the goal by a great margin, and then on the oher end of the pitch USA scores a deserved goal. The kind of goal Ronaldo should make himself if he was playing well. And that Eder guy is absolutely sh*t.
